Gorgeous! Love it. I am going to try this myself. I will just use the wire I have which is 20 gauge copper. I won’t twist it though. I don’t have a torch.
Rite Dude, Tried this today with some thin and thick wire! Worked a bloody treat, 👍 I'm making a Viking helmet but its flat to hang on a wall and this is great for the beard bit of it! Stay safe n well TFS, GB :)
Copper hardens and becomes brittle as it is worked. Heating renders it soft and malleable. Any torch hot enough to make it red hot, then cool it in water. Thus the heating step after each working of the copper.
@@nedjewelryworkshopoh wow, liquid silver oxide!? Does that last longer than using liver of sulphur for anodizing? Is it shinier? I haven’t been satisfied with the long term outcome of sulphur…
@@nedjewelryworkshop thank you I tried to make 2 rings. And i realized that it's not as easy as it seems. But i have a wire which really good and shiny. I must learn 😣

I'm new to this. 2 years. A beautiful simple weave that really takes my eye!! And to others!!
I used to make a lot of this kind of thing, but I'd never thought of it as ''knitting'' ! More like braiding or weaving I'd say.

If you are asking about its thickness, it is 90 microns. If you are asking about its cutting size in woven form, it is 18 cm.
