To be a teenager in that era was the shznit. I wish these young folks today would understand that we invented a CULTURE not just a genre of music. To b-boy or b-girl meant you were for your people and community. It meant that you were against oppression and exploitation. It meant that you were never going to give up. I am a proud b-boy. I think Beat Street is the greatest rap song in history. Why, because it's HIP HOP.
