  • A short documentary on dinosaur vocalisations. using the most recent fossil evidence to estimate the sounds made by dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, Carcharodontosaurus, Corythosaurus and more. We discuss the recent descovery of the first ever dinosaur larynx found in the fossil of Pinacosaurus. The horn-like sounds made by Parasaurolophus' crest. The likely-hood that T-rex actually roared as seen in Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. The history of dinosaur vocalisations. How extant animals can be used to estimate the sounds of their extinct relatives. Listen to incredible sound reconstructions that beautifully demonstrate the theories discussed throughout the video. This is a must watch documentary for all dinosaur nerds. Enjoy!

    Dinosaur feet mark them out as non-passerine so cannot be labelled as songbirds. lol. An Ankylosaur warbling like a canary would be a thing to behold.

    I'm a bit disappointed of not hearing any actual singing dinosaurs canarie-style (better even while using tools like crows and answering open questions in near-perfect English like parrots).That would be quite cool, we humans are absolutely prescindible.

      @@Paleofactus - Better even, a YT channel made by actual dinosaurs, debunking all the myths and legends humans have built around them. And then singing and dancing in the best Bollywood style (or old Hollywood if you prefer).

    So are the prehistoric planet T. rex sounds still acurrte or no?

    • @Paleofactus
      @Paleofactus  Рік тому +3

      Yeah so prehistoric planet was made when we thought dinosaurs had no vocal organs and so they used closed mouth vocalisations and bellows and such which remain true. The Recent finding of pinacosaurus larynx has been discovered since then which opens up possibilities for more complex sounds. But non voice box vocalisations remain true. I'm sure future seasons of prehistoric planet will explore the possible sounds of dinosaur larynges! Thanks for the question!
