i used to watch ur stuff while back before i became a mechanic now im 24 yrs old diseal mechanic for a few years making 28 a hour right now love ur content thanks for posting . i am from michigan as well fyi !
I like that blue 👍 I think its a good idea separate work carts for the different repairs. You can roll that cart to what your fixing everything is there. It saves the mileage you walk in a day. That does eat up quite a bit of time walking back and forth looking for tools. The roller cabs are at arms reach. You just have to make sure the guys put all the tools back into the appropriate cart. Eventually you will have to make a supply room for the guys. Stock it with the common consumables. It will take a while to get your shop set up.
Great videos on this channel. Been watching them all, trying to find any tips and info for new apprentices and future advice. I am 37 years old and starting my first year apprenticeship next Monday after almost 20 years in trucking here in Alberta. Looking to get back to west coast BC. I have a big tool box and a whack of tools already and looking forward to collecting more and more. Seems like a no brainer to better secure my future with this career.
Talking about not enough flat surfaces, cams right! I run a service truck full time an have two fold up break down table that I keep on my truck for that reason lol
I have a dozen snap-on cabs. Some I bought were uppers and lowers combination. What I found was the earlier versions were build better. The 1990s seemed tougher, and the stainless tops stayed in good shape. The latest was 2015ish and the stainless tops had corrosion, and I had drawer/lock issues and paint issues and some inner corrosion issues. The last one I purchased was a blue upper and lower and I had to replace the lock bar in the upper cab and new lock, then demand paint to touch up the inside where they missed spraying. I got my snap-on spray cans shortly thereafter, and that was the end of that. I've decided to try Mac now.
Yooo cam love the videos I am currently an apprentice with cross heavy equipment services and going to school for heavy equipment hydraulic specialist and advanced electrical got any advice for a young field mechanic
how much torque does a 640ci 3208 have from 250rpm? 460lbft with 15:1 compression and 3% gasoline in the diesel. does not need ether, the gas and diesel pump are on the same jack because they complained when it wasn't. double stuffed just like the lunch box?

Classic red is the OG. Maturing as a mechanic is finally realizing that classic red is the only colour. Cam, your slowly maturing. Lol congrats.
It's an amazing color.

Just noticed there's a tooth missing from the gear on Cams hat, lol.
Before he was a mechanic, he was the leather man for the village people.

Not sure if Cam touched on this, but what happened to his tooth? Anywho, cheers from Alberta
I find tool density per square inch quite low in Canada/USA compared to Australia, too much foam plastic case’s etc
Yep, theirs deffinatly something special about that Hat. Or atleast their is now, Now that its on your head Cam! 😂😂😂😂
Cam rocking the handlebars?
Sell your extra gearwrench socket sets or anything extra for that matter.
I have the classic 55” sonic blue with copper trim
