Temps were extreme, reaching 115 degrees by the end of the day. After one person suffered heat exhaustion (they ended up OK) and two fires in the infield, organizers decided to end the day after 4 sessions.
Track conditions aside, Thunderhill 5 Mile is my favorite track. It's very technical and the corner variety is amazing. No wonder this configuration is called the Thundershliefe. Just wish the temps were actually the same as hell...
