"political horror" is a unique and rarely explored concept. Thank you Ronnie for bringing in something different from time to time and keeping it fresh. Thanks to the writer also for the story. Political polarization is scary because it brought about the tribalistic and destructive "us vs them" mentality, instead of setting aside our differences and finding common ground so we can coexist and support each other towards the greater good and mutually beneficial relationship.

This is such a great story! As a younger generation I think we all experience feeling disenfranchised with our government in all countries. I really like this message that we can’t rely on them and we need to work as a community to solve our issues

I love the idea of it was a single department that was completely overwhelmed and lead by a single person because everyone else was just gone. That's very surreal and creepy

I really enjoyed a story where it’s the cult followers perspective. It’s easy to see from our perspective how both sides sounded insane but he was so sure of himself up until that final moment. Would love to hear more from this author

As I see it this is a warning of radicalism. It has the telltale signs of two sides being mislead and radicalized against the other. Leading to the main conflict, it was a good metaphor and really fit this story well in my opinion. ( I also find it hilarious that the dude who caused all that chaos is literally Alexander the Great )
the statues , in the case, are the politicians and the elite, who stand as one to mislead and confuse/ distract us with petty nonsense to squabble over while they make all the real decisions, and line their pockets

OK, this was good, the dichotomy of gold and silver, and the metaphor for politics, and the indifference of the government. All wrapped up in an interesting, entertaining story. Well done my friend.

At first I thought the story was gonna be some normal creepypasta about cults and stuff. But boy oh boy I was thrown for a spin. This story is simple, descriptive and effective. It's a message to society, with all the rising hate between communities and government and big company influence, people just can't seem to hear anything else other than their respective radios. No one is immune, not even the main character. But they all realised in the end and that's what society should too. Great, simply story with a deep and elaborate message!

This! This right here is the miasma that a lot of people are feeling right now, bottled, condensed, and distilled down into an excellently written story. It's all the same garbage, all the same interests, all the same talking points/beliefs/arguments with different packaging. It's all control through fear. No need for a conspiracy when all the people calling the shots on both "sides" have the same interests, right? They know what's good for them. "It's a big club, and you ain't in it", after all.

I really enjoyed this story, from my perspective it's reminiscent of the polarization we often see when it comes to political views---especially present in the US. Silver vs. Gold is just Red vs. Blue, each side---like it or not---are constantly tearing apart the other and spreading propaganda. I'm from Canada so I can't attest to what things are really like down south but, I still catch myself hating and unwilling to try and understand the perspective of someone who believes something different than I do. This story feels to me like a metaphor for the fact that we never listen to the opposing side; we assume they're wrong because they disagree, or have a differing perspective. With the rise of social media we are more separated as a society than ever before---we have the ability to only hear what we want to, only see things that feed into our beliefs rather than learning to see the whole picture and take into account that different people think differently. Anyhow---that's just my thoughts while listening to this great work as always!
This story was definitely a metaphor especially when you really break it down. Silver and gold are definitely the 2 sides of the political sphere and aka red and blue. Both sides spew constant propaganda dehumanizing the other while making there side appear as if it is the only rational option. Both sides are the same corruption when you step back and look at it from the outside. The division is just smoke and mirrors. It insures that no matter what somebody is getting elected that's still part of the corruption regardless of political affiliation. I still rember watching two politicians from opposite sides yell and argue and then when it was over they didn't realize the cameras were still on and they laugh and smiled like they were good friends, it's just a show. Keeping the people at each other's throats so they are so focused on each other they don't realize they are being played. Even Alexander saying "burn it" could symbolize burning the system itself. Using Alexander the Great is actually really fascinating. Although he was a "conqueror" he never messed with the cultures of the places he took over and embraced sharing of cultures. Which made him very popular even among people he conquered.
The story is about the people who are behind the message on the radio. They are the evil villains
Gold and silver are campaign contributions in my opinion. “Give me gold and silver and give me control” (or similar) gave it always to me.
How do the politicians stay in power? The ppl keep funding them because of the message of strife and division they pour out from the captured media.

This may be one of the truest metaphors ever voiced. Matt, I applaud your skill to present reality without being too political (as an independent, i can see that either ‘side’ could have represented gold but the “n*zi” comment gave away the players… )
