That probably wouldn't work, it's all to easy for them to either swallow it accidentally while fighting or spit it out while being punched in the face or something. The show also makes it clear that Senzu beans are REALLY hard to grow and thus rare.

The whole point is Goku is trying to get his body used to those intense conditions so he can fight better in normal gravity, or at least fight effectively in high gravity. It's kind of zenkai, since no one but a saiyan could adapt to that level of intensity that quickly.

But now as an adult, I realized its a bean, so it probably doesnt really taste like anything. My closest comparison for realistic expectations would maybe be a dehydrated pea for flavor and texture. He had to shove the senzu bean quickly into his twitching body's mouth and manually move his jaw up and down so he could force in down his throat. And it wasn't snapped by a chokehold, either, it was from the force of a single neck right on his neck. By the time of Cell and Buu, they didn't need the beans for that. They could have just used Dende. Zenkai each other for a week and Cell doesn't stand a chance.
It has limitations. It can only heal injuries afflicted through battle or in this case, training. It doesn't heal diseases. Similar to the Dragonballs not reviving someone who died of natural causes.

I've always loved sensu scenes like these as a kid because I wondered what anything that amazingly powerful would taste like. But now as an adult, I realized its a bean, so it probably doesnt really taste like anything. My closest comparison for realistic expectations would maybe be a dehydrated pea for flavor and texture. Or if you prefer, a green jelly bean! Thats whats the most fun :)
When Gohan was on the brink of death, I believe that was the best senzu bean use.

He had to shove the senzu bean quickly into his twitching body's mouth and manually move his jaw up and down so he could force in down his throat.
Yeah, child Gohan had a very haunting scene where his spine was shattered while the villains laughed it up. And it wasn't snapped by a chokehold, either, it was from the force of a single neck right on his neck.
Even for shonen standards it was pretty gnarly stuff... good things those beans are literally magical and can heal all wounds instantly.

senzu beans were really their universe special.
It had no limitations (you only need to consume it) there's no max consumption per day.
Idk when cell or buu came, nobody thought of the 2 super saiyan spar to "death"+senzu bean exploits. (They are magically infinite for some reason)
They aren’t magically infinite korin grows them which is why they only ever have like 4-5 during battles because they don’t just pop out of no where
It takes a while to grow them, so they usually only have a few on them when they're needed
So they can't use them sparingly
By the time of Cell and Buu, they didn't need the beans for that. They could have just used Dende. Zenkai each other for a week and Cell doesn't stand a chance.
It has limitations. It can only heal injuries afflicted through battle or in this case, training. It doesn't heal diseases. Similar to the Dragonballs not reviving someone who died of natural causes.
