    this is a 53hp. in turn an enhanced version of a licensed Fiat 445. Original UTB called Universal 445. the UTB 3xx/4xx/5xx are Fiat licensed products developed over multiple sub-series featuring numerous enhancements. These used to be the light UTB products. The larger series, 6xx and larger used to be UTB originals.
    Original engine, as fitted to the 445, was the same you have on this one but put out 45 hp.
    This is bored out to 2.7 liters, whereas the 45 hp is a 2.3 liter, but they are the same otherwise.
    445s only have 3 forward gears + 1 reverse and Low/High reduction gear. Any of them could be specified with part-time 4WD.
    There are two 4 cyl versions of this engine as well... 68 and 80 HP if i correctly remember. Those were used in some larger series models. The 4 cyl engines could be paired with a different injector pump too, which raised top rpm to about 3200, for some road applications. (Tractors only rev to about 2500 rpm)
    your ol'man is a lucky dude cuz that is a nice simple and reliable piece of machinery. looks well looked after.
    It is generally a very reliable contraption although It needs a fair degree of (albeit very simple) maintenance, mainly greasing and fresh fluids to stay healthy. The body pieces will suffer ruptures due to the 3cyl engine vibrations... Body panel screws will come loose too.
    The jerky hydraulics thing you got going on when this video was shot is due to debris in the hydraulic piping and/or pump. replacing the valve does not solve the issue. Drain and wash the muddafucka, then mind for the valve and it should not break otherwise. Keep in mind that the rear 3 point hitch only drives hydraulic pressure to lift the hitch and it relies on gravity to go down. It does not push the hitch both directions.
    The engine on this model tends to pull strongly and start easily even when piston rings are worn. It should not smoke when warm. Before thinking of piston ring replacement, check to see if it's got any valve seals inside the valve springs and mind those first. If there are any, dont bother to find originals, just install whatever fits.
    Also, it runs well on 10w40 semisynthetic car oil... and oils up quicker at startup... Actually it will run on pretty much any oil but a good not too thick one will make a difference in the long run.

    Water in the PTO HYDRAULIC OIL.
    I just bought a 1 owner 560 from an old farmer.. He's parked it in a barn since 1970.. I have it for 2 months and the PTO stops holding pressure, starts stuttering, then suddenly it begins to leak out of about 4 locations, even out the remote couplers... I left it outside during 2 months of heavy spring rains. The oil was milky and bubbly...

      @TractorGuru  6 років тому +1

      vegascolors Thanks! This one had a pretty substantial hydraulic leak so it always had fresh oil. That definantly could be am issue however!

    • @vegascolors

      There are videos on here explaining how pin hole leaks from aging, suck moisture in as well. So even the least bit, will affect it.
      Also, the piston under the seat, the seals wear also.
      Easy fix, after you buy the parts.

      Underneath the seat there's a big piston and crankshaft assembly wich its cylinder fiils/drains of oil when lifting/lowering as we Remanians call it a"Monoblock" you need to change the rings on that piston because it's losing pressure

    I have a long 460 that starts perfect after getting hot it begins smoking shuts down and then acts as though it seized up until it cools then starts again do you have any thoughts you would be kind enough to share to help me figure out this problem thank you

    • @TractorGuru
      @TractorGuru  4 роки тому +1

      steve o I’m guessing you have checked the obvious like fluid levels etc. I would look and see if you’re losing fuel delivery. When the tractor dies take the line off the bottom of your tank and see if you have a solid stream of fuel coming out. I’ve seen algae and trash get in the tanks and plug the drain up making it to where it won’t run. Then after you let them sit that trash will come off the drain and they will run again. After that I’m unsure.
