- Interested in starting your adventure with hand-drawn scenes? Register today for our remote training sessions on Paperless Animation in Toon Boom Harmony. www.toonboom.com/training
Our Paperless Animation training sessions are intended for artists who are new to paperless animation in Harmony but are familiar with basic animation principles. Participants will use Harmony Premium to learn the fundamentals of frame-by-frame animation using traditional and digital tools through introductory exercises and by both building and animating real-world production scenes.
This scene was animated by Mik Løvenbalch Kirchheiner, with storyboards and animatic by Mike Morris and character design by Marie-Eve Lacelle. You can find our interview with the artist on our blog:

In addition to trainer-led sessions, we also provide free video tutorials on our website: learn.toonboom.com/ - Фільми й анімація
This is soooo rad! Always nice to see the stuff you worked on animated!
Great work Ze ❤🎉 I love the character design ❤
@@mrtoonswolrd Thank you !!!!
The quality is outstanding!
Will give the course a look
Nice workflow. I tend to jump the gun and go straight to the final animation. I never finish and I think it's because I don't have a good blueprint of what I plan on drawing.
Starting with the animatic would really solve that problem. Well done.
This is phenomenal! Great art style and voice acting.
If the pacing seems a bit slow, it's only because the character movements flow one into the next. If you have the character do a thing, stop. Do a thing, stop. It breaks up the pacing and gives the viewers brains time to process the one action before moving on to the next. Looney tunes were masters at it 😊
Love this!
Love the satchel spellbook!
Awesome, with new animated. From toon boom training
nice seeing handrawn.
aww man ive gotten attached to a character ive only known for 30 seconds
super!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
😍
Pretty awesome
nice
Hello. I'd like to know. Is it cut-out (deformation) animation after all, or classic animation? Because the final variant doesn't look so smooth.
This scene was animated and cleaned by hand in Toon Boom Harmony.
This isn't really hand drawn, and I'm not really sure why they're trying to give the impression that it is. It's okay that's it not, tweening is cool when done well. That character here is clearly not drawn all the way through in everyframe, and many aspects of the characters are being stretched and repeated, creating a rigged appearance in the final animation and pencil test.
WOW i want learn toon boom my friend
Luz noceda is new friend
I love this! I'm very curious, how long would this take to animate? I'm a college student studying animation and I plan on doing 2D animation for my portfolio class
Rough guesstimate, 30 secs of animation this fluid and polished is likely 1-2 months of full time work for one person. 2D animation takes a long time, depending on your experience, skill level and finding a good balance between workflow and what you’re willing to sacrifice quality wise.
Is this from something? I just found it on the animation website and I just thought "Is this a show? Cos I'd watch it"
Hi Courtney, this is an example scene from our traditional paperless animation course. We interviewed the animator on our blog: www.toonboom.com/mik-kirchheiner-on-traditional-paperless-animation-in-harmony

This is tweaning program or frame by frame
Hi Akaro, this exercise was entirely hand drawn, frame by frame. -Mike
@@ToonBoomAnimation oh thanks for replying 🙏💜
can this app to like 2d with 3d?
Our software is primarily for 2D animation, but it includes a 3D multiplane camera and you can import 3D objects.-Mike
@@ToonBoomAnimation how can u make 2d as 3d with toon boom?
Is this a rig character with symbol or frame by frame?
you can tell it’s hand drawn because of the process of each frame being sketched, then traced and colored. with rigging, there’s a fully colored character puppet to work with beforehand!

Grade A. Needs a foley guy, though.
Fun fact: This animation program was actually how spongebob was made.
I thought this was from the Owl House for a second lol.
