Im just curious if DNR is coming down on y'all at all? Indiana is an earn a buck state yet I keep seeing these guys passing these does and nailing these buck. I'm lucky if I see a deer a season so I take it no matter what and it goes in my freezer.

I think I already had a doe in the freezer at that point but I could be wrong. Also unless something changed, Indiana is not an earn a buck state. You can shoot a buck during any season. You can “earn” another buck by doing draw hunts or reduction zone. The reduction zones (around big cities) are earn a buck

I’m just south of ya in Perry Co (Tell City). Been deer hunting Perry Co for 37 years now and I truly believe with all my heart that us southern Indiana deer hunters are spoiled rotten! We’ve got it made…I’m dead serious!
Bucks like this are commonplace for us ya know. I honestly can’t remember any year where I went and didn’t see at least one great buck…typically many more. Do ya know what I’m saying? We are so blessed to live/hunt in so IN! Am I right? Tell me I’m wrong.
I watch deer hunting videos all the time and truly feel bad for some of these guys who have for YEARS worked their tails off just to see a deer like this yet we can go out and kill one like this every year with little preparation.
I’m not convinced so IN isn’t one of the very best deer hunting locations in America. And I’m not just saying that because it’s my home- the mounts on my walls can strongly support that statement 👍

I agree, Indiana is a great state for deer hunting for sure. I’m very fortunate to have something like this available for me within a short drive.

I was using the strap mount for this video. I personally don’t like the hat clip mount. Just feels flimsy and the angle is hard to get right for me.

congrats!!! nice buck!!! if i can give you some advice. it looks like you're holding your bow way too heavy in your bow hand. i can almost bet sometimes you'll get a sting slap on your forearm.
because in the video you can see and hear the sting hit your sleeve. to fix this...place he riser of your bow in the middle of the fatty part of your thumb. you'll also notice your groupings will be tighter. :)
but still a fantastic buck!!! congtats.

Thanks! I will definitely give that a shot. Probably 1 out of 30ish shots does make contact with my forearm. I’d like to completely eliminate that.

It’s holding up pretty good. Limbs are in good shape, shoots pretty consistent and is quiet. The rubber string silencers could be replaced but they’ve still got a lot of life left in them. The one thing I’ve noticed is that it chewed threw my last string, which I feel like is a string issue but we will see

Does your zoom not work? Never seen you zoom in on anything. Could never see what you were shooting at or after the shot zoom in to watch where it went.

Unfortunately I was in the process of packing up to head to the house. I had already put up my other camera and was actually in the process of letting down my pack when I saw this deer coming. Didn’t even have an arrow knocked at the first sighting lol this was all off a GoPro which has no zoom feature when recording starts

You had alot of action. Would have been nice to see it. It looked like it was filmed with a go pro. Gopros suck as a main camera. Everything looks 200 yards away. 🤦‍♂️

Yeah the main camera was put away because I was in the process of going home. Didn’t want to risk setting up the camera arm with the camera with deer in front of me.

Only seen the 1 doe the entire time before the shot and up to the shot..still didn't see the deer you shot at even after arrow flew.

So In this situation, I would have honestly taken a “provisionary” shot on one of those other bucks just incase the other one didn’t drop. Then just call the game warden and tell him exactly why happened and they’ll just take it and feet it to someone. Could you imagine if you didn’t find it and saw 20 deer after haha
