Here’s a video of me unboxing the first The Future Bites deluxe edition off the production line, with a soundtrack drawn from the exclusive and copious bonus material. A couple of the items included in the box are a secret and have been blurred in video to maintain an element of surprise, but otherwise I hope this will give you an idea of the work that has gone into the set. From the spot varnished text on the front of the box to the numerous inserts, it’s all been the subject of an incredible attention to detail, and I want to thank Simon Moore at WeAreBaby for developing and collaborating with me on it. The set is limited to 5,000 numbered copies, and with only a month to go we’re now pre-selling the copies in the 4,000’s, so I don’t expect it to be available for much longer. Only available from the official TFB store, and Burning Shed.

Ironically, the concept this time around (at least as it appears to me so far) convinced me that I don’t need to waste money on another special edition box set (😊).

Received today. It was better than unboxing my Mac Book Pro! Seriously though, great job. Thoroughly enjoyed unboxing and reading all the small print. Thoroughly enjoyed the listening. This album is more progressive than people may assume...

Yep! I noticed that it’s not sold out and thought about buying it & came here to see if it’s worth it, but I guess this time I’m gonna pass... Hope I won’t regret that later tho. 😅 The concept is nice and I understand it, but I can’t even put posters on my wall so 🤷🏼♀️ Probably gonna buy the red vinyl tho. The basic cassette looks pretty too.
It's the cost. During a pandemic ppl can't afford it and weigh up what's more important. At 75 quid, I'm passing on this one too.i got ttb but this one? I can't justify the cost.

None of these songs appear on the actual album, they're exclusive for the deluxe edition. I'm quite sad because I can't afford this box and I loved those bits...

For those who might be concerned about the "obsolete media" (I don't own a cassette deck either), historically Steven has provided access to a WAV file download site so you can actually listen to the extra material. We shall hope he continues to do so. Yes, this is a hint!
As for the music on this album - Steven has taken me to many places over the past 30 years, I look forward to the new journey.

My problem is that all the music in the box set could fit onto a single blu-ray, so why spread it over 3 discs and a cassette i have no means of playing ?
SW has previously released bluray versions of albums which include instrumentals, extra tracks and documentaries all in one place, all on one disc.
I'd really like to own the bonus tracks but will not spend £75 for the 'privilege'.

"feel like being ripped off?" - No. You've got the option of buying the other versions. Why should you have the bonus tracks if you're not willing to pay for the "privilege"
@@krytenLister My point is that extra content on previous releases has been available on the bluray version so costing £15 or so, not being thinly spread over 3 discs and a cassette at £75.
I know i have the choice, and i chose not to pay over the odds, which is a shame as i'm sure SW would prefer all to be able to listen to his entire catalogue, not just the 5000 who buy the box.
I'd happily spend a bit extra if the bonus tracks were available elsewhere. I have no need for posters, booklets etc, so for me personally, £75 is too high a price to be able to access the extra music.

@@bandit4690 i'm listening to Grace For Drowning bluray as i type this. There are bonus tracks and demos on this disc, along with video content.
Hand Cannot Erase bluray has instrumental versions of all tracks, plus alternative versions, plus documentary.
To The Bone bluray has instrumentals of all tracks, a documentary and videos.

This boxset seemed OK, but when I took it to the top of the Chrysler building and threw it off, it shattered into a million pieces WTF??! Very poor quality.
Am I the only one to feel the irony?

@@Drflamerock Nope. What he's been saying is that the concept of this album it's just to talk about how interesting and funny it's the consumism for the human being. You can see this with the stament that he said about PERSONAL SHOPPER, he said that this song is a "love letter to shopping". He's not critising nothing here, it would be dumb to critisice what you preach

doesn't look like this album will ever come out. why delay the album when you wont be able to tour for at least 5 more years! viruses don't go away ever. they just fizzle out here and there but will always be there. after all there we have over a thousand viruses in our guts that made humans who they are today. bacteria also. this virus is not good for humans. maybe in a few generations humans will have s symbiotic relationship with it. looking forward to the new tunes.
I'm sorry, but the box is extremely overpriced. More than a 100 bucks incl. Shipping... This is the first time I'm gonna pass on the limited edition.
Of course there's a small chance that all of this is just extremely ironic in the context of the album theme and that the ones who don't wanna spend all that money are the only ones who understood Mr Wilson's point...
