I always use the longer roof screws and put them in the ridges because there is much less chance of them leaking if thy are not tight against the gasket. Also they don't block the snow from sliding off the roof as much on the ridges. I have considerable rot in the barn where previous owners put the metal roof on with the screws in the valleys instead of on the ridges.

Making quick time of the stumps for sure. Don't forget to add a door for the goats to get in the barn and an area to catch them for loading and unloading them from the trailer. You should be able to store hay and straw in there also. Looking good and the skylights are a nice addition.

I just love Pluto . You may need some decals on the outdoor kitchen windows , the birds could be attracted by there own reflections or the pastures reflection . The goats are going to live in style , looking great . Sure do learn a lot from your channel !

That bird was sat on a sill at the bottom of a fairly big plain glass window. So my guess would be it has flown into the window and is concussed. Put it in a box with some hay and hopefully in a while it will fly off by itself

When birds can see ligt through a window they try to fly through and hit the glass. The bird was groggy from flying in to the window I belive. If you hang up a curtain in one window you can prevent that.

I bet that little bird also flew into your window and was just a little stunned. That happened to us last year we had a bird hit the window and land on the ground and it just needed some time to get its head back together before it flew off. We got so close the dogs were licking it. Haha

So much i liked about this vlog. The goat barn is awesome! That roof! omg!
I had to have a massive twin pine taken down for safety reasons, or my park would not have done so. While i am all about the sun and that tree left my house and gardens in the shade, it took all of a week for it to not be strange. I'm struggling with the soil but am gardening my butt off. In the Sun! lol Eating sugar snaps! I assure you i could NOT have done that last Spring.

I'm at the 7 minutes and 36 seconds point in your video, and I don't know if you're going to put one up, but I would really suggest a rain catchment system for your goat barn with an automatic watering system using food grade PVC, or plastic hosing!
Using that automatic water catchment system that's one less huge amount of work for you with the goats, and the rain that you get can also be used by the chickens that are free-ranging, if you put a small set up on the ground for them as well.

Birds sometimes think the reflection in the window is their friend or mate. I am not sure what kind of bird that is, but since the woods are gone more birds are going to be at your outside kitchen windows. Plant something outside the the windows or put stickers on the inside of the windows. After awhile the birds will get used to the change, and it will not happen as often. Boy are you working hard!!!😓😌😬😇😳😇😇😺😺😹😹😹🙋👯👯👯🙎🙇💁👴👩👨👧Happy Holidays!!!🍀🍀🍀🍀🏵🏵🏵🍀🍀🍀🍀🌹🌹🌹🍀🍀🍀🍀🌼🌼🌼🍀🍀🍀🍀🌻🌻🌻🍀🍀🍀🍀🌸🌸🌸🍀🍀🍀🍀🌻🌻🌻🍀🍀🍀🍀🌹🌹🌹🍀🍀🍀🍀🌺🌺
