Thank you! And thanks for watching 👍 I think Paul would agree with you. I will for the time being but see how it looks once I’ve been riding it a few more years I think 🙌🤞🏻
More videos with Sarah in please! Lovely that your Grandad's passion for cycling rubbed off on you. Would like to hear more about tours you've done or tours you plan to do. What a shame the folk at Argos are camera-shy - would have been nice to hear them talking about your old Argos bikes.
Aw thanks!!! I’m a bit more camera shy than paul but I’ll try! And yes we have some tours planned so will certainly share them. Did you see the behind the scenes at Argos video we did a few weeks ago?
Argos lads don't know the power of social media yet. They should show off what they're doing since there aren't many quality bike builders left. If they do some low end models, they'll clean up the market.
I didn't notice any nervousness, Sarah. I'd say you have a very natural way of speaking to camera! Yup, I did watch the behind the scenes video about Argos. The metallic deep purple frame with the lined lugwork was simply gorgeous! I probably wouldn't want to ride a bike like that for fear of scratching it! It was Paul doing all the talking in that video - an interview with them might prove interesting though I'm not sure they need publicity - they have an excellent reputation already.
@@cliveelsmore thank you! Yes I’d be nervous about riding that bike! But we have had out Moulton resprayed with them (video coming soon) and we intend to fully ride it.
Lovely vid and it's great to see your grandad's bike back in action - I'm sure he'd like that. I'd just say, no need for a respray, perhaps just touch it up. Only put new components if they'll suit you better. I have a vintage Pug with all original parts, but I'm not sure if i want to modernize it....still thinking. If i do, I would definitely ride it more.
Thanks for the comments and watching. Yes he would definitely be pleased I was riding it. Paul put new components on his Argos (and he’s done many restorations doing the same) so certainly worth it. (Not sure if you’ve seen those videos?) Yes won’t put new components on unless I’ll definitely use it more!
@@veloworks9266 I'll check those vids since I quite restomods; hope he does more of them. If I can fit fatter tyres, and find sympathetic modern components, I might go for it and use it for longer rides.
@@veloworks9266 Don’t know why I missed that video, I thought I had seen all your videos , you did give me an idea though, getting older myself now so thinking about changing my handle bars on my old Raleigh Royal from drops to a more upright version, I think if you was nearer me in sunny Devon I would get you guys to change my handle bars also on my Brompton to a Mini P version. Always like your videos, something real about them that others seem to lack, take care you two.
@@KavanOBrien thanks so much and hope you enjoyed the behind the scenes one! Yes my grandad changed most of his bikes to straight bars as he got older and it really helped so he could keep on riding 👍
Heart-warming. I wish I'd had a grandad with a passion for cycling like yours did Sarah.
Aw thank you for watching 😀 and did he have a passion or an obsession?! It was a fine line 😂
Ha. This video makes me feel old. My main ride I bought in 1970. I still consider bikes from the 80's "modern".
Haha I can see that !
Talking about your Grandfather was very inspiring. Hope I can cycle that long! Thanks for another great video!
He was amazing! I was mountain biking with him in Brazil when he was 90 😱😱
Fantastic bike and awesome with the history behind it. I think I would be tempted to keep the original paint and patina.

Its wonderful that you could find out the history of your Grandfather's bike. 👍
Yes I was so pleased they still had the paperwork (and let me have a copy!). Thank you for watching 👍

I like the color of the bike
Thank you! I’m going to ask them what the colour is called 👍

They are amazing. We did a behind the scenes video with them 3 weeks ago - definitely worth checking out 👍
