Yes! 🙌 A word of caution that I’m kicking myself for forgetting to mention in the video: Spinosad can hurt bees if it gets poured on pollinating flowers. Good thing is it’s not a spray, so you don’t have to worry about it drifting in the air and landing on pollinating plants, but you do want to be careful not to drench pollinator-friendly flowers/buds.

Way to go! I've never even consided trying spinosad. Its pronouced spin (like a top) a (ah) sad (😢) I've use it for various types of worms but hadn't even an inkling about trying it on ants mounds of any kind much less fire ant. Those little devils.
I only kill fire ants that are inside a garden bed that I need to plant in - can't plant where fire ants are. :) This wood chip pile is my sweet potato area. There are plenty more ant hills that I can live with because they aren't located directly in a grow area.
That’s true. I wouldn’t want to drench anywhere near pollinator plants. I wish I would’ve thought to mention that in the video! Good thing about a drench is that it’s not a spray that can drift and affect other areas. It seems to be very localized to where it’s placed.
I live in Ground Zero fire ants, Mobile County AL. A couple of years ago we tried to grow potatoes and the fire ants ate nearly all the potatoes.
Oh no!! Fire ants are such stinkers!
Yahoo! Glad it worked!
Me too!!!
Where do you buy this?
Here it is on Amazon - amzn.to/3UuWi3L
I think also sell it at Wal-Mart.
WIN! I'm in Texas. Fire ants are literally a pain!
Thank you for this. Will be buying this myself.

Definitely gonna give this a try. We sure do learn a lot from your videos. Thanks so much!

Thank you for the pronunciation!
They really are the worst!! I’m SO glad to have stumbled upon something that works.
Why do you kill the ants ?
I only kill fire ants that are inside a garden bed that I need to plant in - can't plant where fire ants are. :) This wood chip pile is my sweet potato area. There are plenty more ant hills that I can live with because they aren't located directly in a grow area.
Nothing is perfect.
Spinosad is deadly for bees. 😞
