Who Was Gimli In LOTR?

Who Was Gimli?
Gimli, son of Glóin, was a Dwarf of the House of Durin and a member of the Fellowship of the Ring. Unlike other Dwarves, he readily fought alongside Elves in the War of the Ring, fighting against Sauron at the end of the Third Age.
After the defeat of Sauron, and now in the early Fourth Age, he was given the lordship over the Glittering Caves at Helm's Deep with a large number of Durin’s folk at his side.
During his time as a valued member of The Fellowship Of The Ring he forged a strong bond with all party members, but no more so than Legolas The Elf, becoming lifelong friends. It’s this friendship that seems him visit much of Middle Earth with Legolas, before finally heading into the West with his companion, not only for their friendship, but for another chance to see the beautiful Galadriel, Gimli was never seen In Middle-Earth again.
