How much I have BEGGED so see an interview like this with Bill. I've recently gotten myself into an obsession with his talent and musical style and wanted to see a hint of how this man's brain works. I understand he's an extremely private guy, and rightfully so, he's done well to keep his life off of the internet, so it surprised me how you managed to even get in contact with him, let alone a full interview. Very interesting and well done
He has a few interviews out on some other channels as well. Host also plays a big role in what type of stuff is talked about
What bill said about his fascination with the progression of a show through time is how i feel about these episodes
I love when Bill openly talks about anything! Thank you for hosting and letting Bill express himself! :D
I love getting to hear bill talk, and honestly its so cool and interesting to hear his thoughts and feelings towards things. It feels great knowing Im not the only one who struggles when Im asked somethin I dont wanna answer, I could totally relate to bill there!
Bill as a recurring guest must be one of the highlights of this year so far. Maybe this decade, too.
Our peripheral vision is much lower “resolution” than the center of our vision, but it’s extremely good at picking up movement. (for our cavemen grandpappies, it was much more important to know that a tiger was running at you out of the corner of your eye than to admire its pretty colors.)It’s especially easy to see if you find an anthill or something like that, try looking directly at it and then looking to the side of it.
I'm sure it goes back much much much further than our caveman grandpappies
@@JonahNelson7 for sure
haven't watched the entire thing yet, but congrats on having bill for the third time! excited to watch it later :D
The idea of focusing on a single job per video in a set of videos is genius
your interviews are so good. and YES MY FINGER VIBRATES WHEN MY MACBOOK IS CHARGING WTF
The led flickering and finger moving on a charging laptop thing legitimately made me gasp! Felt like you were inside my brain talking about phenomena I've never verbalized before
I just keep learning stuff about Bill, like him speaking Nederlands is something I really didn't expect!!
Hey hey, I think you were definitely prying very hard on how he makes money or survives without making music. I get it, because you and others really want to know more about his personal life and what he does, but think about the magic of the fact that we know nothing. For example, I believe it's magical that we know nothing about Daft Punk, and most people don't even know what they look like. Some people just straight up don't want to go deep into their personal life, and I feel Bill dodged that question well, and I'm not sure you either understood that, or respected his wishes.
There was also an assumption and implication that because he doesn't want to discuss his person life, that it was something wrong with him. I don't think there's anything wrong with people not wanting to discuss sensitive details (especially FINANCES!) about their life to potentially millions of people. On top of that, you said "No one could ask me anything that could make me uncomfortable", which is a direct comparison of you to him, and again is implying that there is something wrong because he doesn't want to answer certain questions.
That being said. This and your past interviews were still great, and I really like how you do the show. Subbed, but people not as nice as Bill could easily get upset about what I discussed above.
Dude he definitely didn't dodge the question well, there were a million ways Bill could have handled it better, like just say you don't want to talk about money and leave it at that haha. I love Bill but it was definitely his fault if it got awkward.
Interesting about the issues with recording blue light, I always wondered why the blue stage lights on Battlebots were so badly clipped
Each show with Bill has been better than the previous one! Came here for Bill but, since I enjoyed this episode so much, now I'm curious to watch some other episodes with other guests. Keep it up!
The vibrating you feel on the laptop is not vibration, it's actually electrical charge (which is why it only happens when plugged in). The power adapter doesn't have the third neutral ground wire, so there's little electrical charges that build up in the laptop. Your body is acting as the pathway to ground, and the power supply is "switching" (going on/off/on/off very fast) so it feels like it's vibrating. You are in no danger from this but you are being gently zapped by it.
Y'all's dynamic is hilarious.
Just binged all three episodes! Congrats on having Bill Wurtz and great job hosting the show! Hope he'll come around for a 4th time!
21:10 as soon as he mentioned ovens with weird refresh rates, I looked over at my clock and went bbbbpbpbpbbpbpb, it was so funny to find out he was talking about the same thing lol
I suggest to try to make the thumbnails more different from each otrher
I agree very confusing
Totally agree I had so much confusion
@@OrangeBananasMusic me too
I loved every second of it. Whoever says you made Bill uncomfortable is stupid. You asked nothing wrong. Ignore stupidity and keep going Scottie!
I love how bill continuously wants to start a new show.
i think you two should do an episode with another person. itd be cool to see bill ask questions about someone else. keep up the amazing work!!!
27:25 SO ADORABLE
theatre 🧐
we want to see the guitars when bill saw them!
okay, i just had to subscribe and hit the bell, because when bill appears here next, i'd like to see it live now
Eggselent!!
I'm as psychotic as you two
Waiting for the 4th one now!
Hey Bill,
Wat leuk dat je Nederlands aan het leren bent.
Yea Bill just talking is so fun to listen to! It's just so interesting, but he shouldn't feel pushed to do anything :)
Wooo
I play trumpet and that digit vibraring thing happens reallyyy noticably when i play. I'm glad it's not just me who notices it lol
I've noticed the flickering light thing with bus stop signs before!
i want to be bill wurtz when i grow up
echt gezellig man
People with superior canal dehiscence syndrome rely on vision for balance and frequently notice lights flickering, vibrating, etc more than others. Both of y'all need a CT scan
Can confirm that I connect to the laptop finger thing
I'm still counting how many times he says bill
theres good and bad about these interviews. Bill is doing these probably because its not many people watching so its great we are getting interviews, but this dude interviewing him is really not a good interviewer. Dont talk about yourself, and half of these interviews is him trying to avoid questions and you keep trying to squeeze an answer out of him like you're training him how to talk. weird vibes. but at the same time im very grateful to have more interviews of him
I probably agree. I think a good interviewer would make a really good interview with him. Bill specifically is a bit of a challenge because he expresses things with the nuance of anyone else but in his own specific way that’s not super understandable to most people upon first conversation. Such as him saying we could have a whole show to talk about finances implying he doesn’t wanna answer it. But a good interviewer could watch his past interviews and pick up on how to understand what he’s saying quickly. Like a good interviewer would’ve IMMEDIATELY moved on from the money thing, literally as soon as Bill said they should start a new show for the finances. The push to talk about it was such dumbassery
I think he was trying really hard to get Bill to answer more personal questions and was talking about himself to get him to feel more comfortable, like it wasn’t all about him - doesn’t make for good content but I think it was a tactic. Bill seems really worried about talking about himself, or what people are thinking of him. A shame because I think people are a lot less judgemental than he thinks. That said, I think the interviewer could do better with pulling on threads. When Bill said, music is really important to me and seemed pretty passionate, he should have followed up to get him to expand on that. But I think he was really patient and kind with Bill overall - but yeah shouldn’t have pressed on the finance.
It was definitely mostly Bill's fault it got awkward. I'm sure if he answered the question with something like "Haha yeah it does make you wonder I guess but yeah sorry I don't really want to talk about finances" the host would move on no problem. But he didn't make it clear what his boundary was and invited the host to push further.
@@theharvardyard2356 you can’t blame the guest really because no matter how awkward the guest is and bad at making it clear they should move on, the host should be able to catch those signals and just try to make their show interesting and not dwell on the same question forever
