I feel like at a certain point in an interview as an interviewer you have to understand the feelings and attitude of the guest and cater to them. I’ve watched a couple clips of bill wurtz interview with h3 and it’s so glaringly obvious that he doesn’t respond well to compliments Bc he feels uncomfortable but h3 just keeps talking about his ”genius”. The best interviews are when the guest feels comfortable enough to share their thoughts. Obviously it looks like bill is socially awkward so it even more important for whoever interviews him to understand where he’s coming from.

As he’s talking about shortcuts on the Mac, you can make your own shortcuts in the system settings per app.

Fun fact: you can watch Bill Wurtz's videos in 2x and it's still intelligible and entertaining.

I played an MMO on a trackpad for the longest time. I am convinced that with games that allow locking target and then just pressing abilities to hit the chosen target (while moving with WASD), the trackpad is superior to the mouse, because it allows you to reach 6-0 by barely moving your hand away from the mouse.
Having both your hands that closely together allows you to execute a lot of key combinations very smoothly.

I sit on the couch and use my trackpad to edit for hours on end; I don't think it's all that hard to use, though it does do a number on my wrist after long sessions. More complex masking and such does usually force me to bring out my Cintiq, but it's not often that I have to use anything but keyboard shortcuts and my trackpad. Can't imagine gaming with a trackpad though...

I also resisted going from FCP 7 to X (granted I started with FCP 1.0 at Steve Wozniaks house) because I thought it was "iMovie Pro", but I haven't looked back since I started transitioning. They rebuilt it from the ground up and its performance is engineered to use all the hardware power. And the library system is so much simpler than dealing with assigning folders for clips, cache and sound. Cheers.

Bill is so right about not putting too much stock into fancy tools. Some modern artists swear by fancy tools, but then you have Mozart and Beethoven who never had fancy digital tools, and their music still holds up.

I always liked using Davinci Resolve but I constantly ran into my program crashing because it just sucks up all computer resources, even after upgrading to more RAM.
So now I'm slowly just screwing around trying to learn premiere. Maybe I'll have to give final cut a shot
