The catch is that the diamond does not sparkle like it could’ve, because it was not cut to maximize the sparkle, but to maximize the face up value as the crown is nearly flat against the girdle So yes, the diamond looks “bigger” but it doesn’t sparkle the way it should. So really, if you want “wow” factor, I definitely say go with the better light performer You never want someone else’s smaller (better cut) stone to out sparkle your larger (but poorly cut) stone lol
