Hey Emi GREAT START !!! Remember that there is always something to look at positively. Negativity breeds Negativity. Remember what God says about you. God doesn't make junk. You are wonderfully made!!! Keep at it young lady and enjoy the process. Learn as much as you can. POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE ALWAYS.
Amen James! Thank you for your encouragement!
Exciting Emma, we will be following your journey w/ your first truck.
Thats a good solid project truck and you know Im loving it cause its FORD Tough, as long as Wiley dont get to cross breed it with a bowtie, LOL. Im excited to see the progress on it. I dont haveanything older than an 80's in the Truck dept anymore but if you need some 80's-90's truck parts to integrade to it you are welcome to them.
Thank you 😊 we might be looking for a late 80s 300 inline and auto. I wanna have fuel injection for her. One of the best engines out there and fuel injection just makes drive ability so much better!
@@WorkinWithWiley Ive got a rebuildable engine matching that. It was running when pulled but noisy. You will need between 1987-1995 I believe. This was from a 1993. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for a tranny to match it
The only brand new truck my Grandpa ever owned was a 1968 Ford F-100. When he passed away in 1988, it still had less than 70,000 miles on it. It was yellow and white. He only drove it to the VA in Asheville.....his farm truck was a 1950 Ford, that was given to him in much shape like this one. He fixed it to run and that was it. Merry Christmas y'all 🎄
MERRY CHRISTMAS Dave and Daisy! Man that woulda been one to keep!
merry Christmas!
Awesome story. I hope someone in the family was able to keep that one.
Great job, cleaning it out Emma. First step.
Emmalee I'm so proud of you working on your truck. You're doing such a great job. 😊

Emily, congrats on starting this new project. You seem to be a level headed girl and I wish you well. Way back in '74 the ex Mr Wonderful and I bought a truck like yours, it was aqua colored had a stick on the floor and an engine hahaha 🙂 and I loved it, they were solid good trucks.
Thank you for the support!!
Congratulations young lady on your first ride can't wait to see you drivin it around. Hope y'all had a good Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks for sharing be safe have fun

@@RatNestRescue I'm super excited for you. I will always be your 2nd Subscriber 🔔
@RatNestRestoration is a awesome name for a channel you guys have to grab that before someone else gets it. That is a great looking old truck lots and lots of potential I'm working on trying to get the parts you guys need I've put out my feelers to all my Ford buddies and we'll see what I can come up with. You did a great job you have to start some where and at 14 yrs old I'm super happy to see you out there working on your own project but as far as the wheels man paint those things black and throw some beauty rims and center caps on them and they will look perfect no need to over think projects simple is good. Keep up the great work little lady enjoyed the video a lot ... Sorry just look over me I'm long winded old fart ... Merry Christmas to you and your family hope you guys have a wonderful holiday season ...
Well we decided to go with @RatNestRescue but we have it all setup!! But I think for now we will continue with @WorkinWithWiley
thanks for the idea @FordDude!
Ive rebuilt 100's of turbo 350 Ive seen some bad ones. I can't lift them anymore.
Gonna be a WHOLE LOT of work and learning nomenclature of what things are hahaha but once it's road ready it will be all worth it... Have fun with the journey... No kidnap folks...haha
BAHAHAHA well hopefully we get an inside door handle and she won't be able to!
Hi, ‘Em
You couldn’t find your tripod because you didn’t look for it? Lol
Lol she is crazy!! But shes gotta start somewhere. Thanks for watching Gregg!
@@WorkinWithWiley
She’s got a great sense of humor. ‘I think it’s the thing that tells you how fast you’re going’. 🤓
Lol She is a mess!
yep... I didn't look for it.
@@gregganderson1454 i know what it's called now! it's a speedometer 🤣🤣
Good job Cleaning it out Emily. But you need to learn what some things are. The two handles on the inside of the driver's door. (The one with the round knob is a window winder. And the silver one is the door handle. The passenger side had a blue handle like thing it's the arm rest and puller to pull the door shut there should be all 3 on each side. The big heavy thing you pushed out the back of the truck was the transmission (that's what puts your vehicle in park drive reverse etc). You're going to have to watch a lot of videos and pay attention to learn all you need to learn. I know wiley will help you with a lot of these things but you can also watch Speed Bump Garage. Kent is Grow Jack Outdoors dad and he has a late 60sor early 70s f100 he's also restoring. He'll show you Hou to cut out the rust, treat it then paint it, and cut out tin and pop-rivet it on, grind the edges (if needed) use bondo to smooth edges (if needed) and whatever else you need. (I wouldn't move the gas tank filler though, personally, bit your truck your decision).
thanks for the information and suggestion Jackie! I'll definitely have to look into that. ❤❤
So will you swap for a f150 frame?
Not exactly sure yet. Just depends on what we come across. Thanks 😊
it all depends on what we come across.
I guess you need to put a chevy engine in it you already got the trans.
Lol I bet that trans is junk Bobby! But ya never know.
I'm not sure the transmission even works if I'm being honest, it's probably been in there since the truck got parked.
Did this come with an engine? If not what engine are y'all gonna look for to put in it? Does the transmission work that you know of? (That thing that was in the back...lol)
Lol that trans is probably junk and it a chevy trans. It has no motor or trans. I am thinking maybe putting an LS motor in it cause I can get them cheap and aftermarket support is plentiful. But I imagine it will be whatever we find first. I do want it to be fuel injected what ever we go with.
@@WorkinWithWiley gotcha.. Sounds like a fun project...she is such a teen though with her commentary.... hahahaha
LOL For sure!
Cool truck even though it is a Ferd. That's a GM Universal Case TH350 Transmission core. Which means, it's fit Chevy, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and even many Cadillacs. Probably a late 70s to mid 80s Rear Wheel drive passenger car transmission. If has the lock up switch, then it's later of the 2 and known as a Th350C for lock up converter. Don't scrap it or trash it. If it's in your way, I'll haul it away and add it to my collection of RWD GM transmission cores.
Thank you 😊
