Me and my brother went into a pub that was within a housing estate and felt like complete and utter foreigners. The pub was a total shit tip. Selling cans of lager from behind the bar, didn’t understand anything anyone was saying, there was a parrot squarking in a cage, and got stared at so much. Strange place. Think it was the wagon and horses from looking on maps.

Wow, what a head full of knowledge! Avon is an old word for river, it's from the Welsh 'Afon', which means river (pronounced 'ah-von' in English, or close enough.) It's still in use today, but being Welsh it's probably been around in one form or another for at least a couple of thousand years and maybe more. Very impressive all round!

I screamed a little when the Cordwainer popped up, my local spoons at the moment. Have lived very close to Northampton my entire life but the first time I went to this spoons was when I started uni, I also met one of my very good friends for the first time in person here after lockdown ended.
