The automatic release from the car end can depend on your car. I have mine set to "don't auto release" for security.
If your car finishes charging, or you can stop charging just by pressing a button on the charger, then when you're using your own cable, someone else can just walk off with your cable.....

Doing all this in the rain will be fun, downloading the app, entering your details and bank card details. Finding the code on the charger.
Just let us tap our phones or bank card and start the bloody thing running.

Hey John, once the app is downloaded you can set up plug and charge with your electroverse account, meaning you just plug the car in and away you go.

The Lexus UX 300e uses a combination of Type 2 AC charging and CHAdeMO DC charging standards.

I have had my Electroverse card for over a year, and have found it great when travelling in Europe. However, living in Norfolk we are not blessed with an abundance of rapid chargers that accept the Electroverse card, and I usually resort to Gridserve for reliability and charging speed. Often the ‘Rapid’ Ionity chargers are painfully slow - I have an Ioniq 5, and often see charging speeds in excess of 150kWh on Gridserve whereas I have found the Ionity High Power chargers at Cringleford often struggle to creep above 30kWh.
Any chance that Gridserve will be added to the list of Electroverse partners in the near futue?

This sounds puzzling, the Ionity should be running 800volt, you might need a firmware update on the battery.

@@octopuselectricvehicles4465 I don't think the vehicle firmware is the issue as I got good rate of charge at Ionity in Maidstone

Good clip however the early Kia Soul's have a Chademo connector as well. I think this clip shows how under rated they are 😢

Hey Steven, you're absolutely right, as did the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEVs, however the only car that you can get from us right now with Chademo is the Nissan Leaf.

Only tried to use the card once and it wasn't accepted (and price was wrong too)

    App/website/card?
    Useless.
    I want to pay cash.
Edit: WHY IS THE APP NEEDED TO START A CHARGE?? What's wrong with a button? Why do you need a computer with mapping function and data to tell the charger to start when YOU'RE RIGHT NEXT TO THE THING?

Yeh...if you want to pay cash Id suggest sticking to petrol and diesel mate. 😂
