I believe the Saints can go 11-6, win the division, and win a playoff game while having a top 10 defense, and people will still find a way to dislike/ discredit Dennis Allen. Most of the credit will most likely go to the OC Kubiak, especially if the offense ranks in the top half of the league. Too many "Saints fans" minds are already set about DA. It will take multiple success years.

I don't know if Dennis Allen would be loved even if he took the saints to the playoffs every year. It seems the same psychology is applied to Derek Carr. Derek Carr has been a top 10 quarterback, but yet no one seems to be aware of that. He came from a disfunctional franchise, but no one seems to want to consider that and the coaching turnover around him. I have alot of faith in Carr, but I seem to be in the unfashionable minority.

I personally love DA and I think he showed a HUGE amount of class and character for apologizing after that stunt that Winston pulled with the Falcons. DAs apology upset most Saints fans but news flash... That's what class looks like. Saints fans could learn a lot from DA when it comes to being classy... And aside from all of that, DA inherited a team that was headed in the wrong direction. Now after firing Pete Carmichael, He's definitely got the Saints headed in the right direction.

Classy would have been him saying that’s not the play I called and leave it at that in public. Behind the scenes he could have said whatever he wanted but he threw his team under the bus. That’s what got Saints fans mad. He didn’t have to do that.

@@wolfbisbing486 The silly and dangerous act of running from the victory formation (something that has never been done in the history of the NFL) was done publicly, so it had to be set straight publicly. He let it be known that we are not to act that way, that he did not call that play and publicly apologized. Doing so helped to squelch any unneeded retaliation from a team that we have to play twice a year and helped to avoid any needless injuries in the future. That is how a decent person was supposed to handle that situation. Sean Payton may not have done that because his mind may have been corrupted by drugs and he has a rotten attitude. How long has Sean been hitting the bong? His rotten attitude suggests that it may have been a lot longer than just a year ago.
I know some of you silly fans hate DA and were just looking for another excuse to hate him, that is why y’all can’t see the rightness of his actions. Maybe they too have their minds clouded by drugs and surely alcohol.

The dumpster fire of the Raiders in the first season after Al Davis died, who had traded away 2012 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & 7th rd picks in 2011. Carson Palmer was a turnover MACHINE in Allen’s 1st year. They had hired a new OC, but KEPT the old OC.
The next year, Palmer went to AZ & he only had Matt McGloin & Terrelle Pryor as his QBs.
So, in year 3 they tried to get a veteran QB (Matt Schaub) to allow the rookie Derek Carr to develop. But Carr played so well, he started game 1. Allen gets fired EARLY in the season.

We can all agree that the transition from Payton to Allen was not going to be easy, and last season was a shakedown season because the pieces aligned with the current roster set up to be a playoff team. It is year three, Allen's job is on the line, and it is playoffs or bust. The irony is that the Saints could move on from Allen even if they are one-and-done in the playoffs for Kubiak because Klint will be considered for head coaching jobs. There are two worst-case scenarios, one, Allen gets extended after leading the Saints into the playoffs, and two, rebuilding is out of the question because the Saints are a small market, they are not going to lose revenue no matter the circumstances, and could run it back with or without Allen. After all, it's not like the NBA when you have no choice but to rebuild.

The Dennis Allen discussion is complicated for me, he inherited a coaching staff and scheme that wasn't his own, not to mention a roster meant to run that scheme. In most circumstances I would disregard the record in those seasons, but that actually makes things worse for Allen. His Raiders years were far worse, despite how people feel about him here in NOLA he has absolutely improved from who he used to be. At the end of the day, if I were making the decisions he would've been sent packing and we would engage in the full teardown. At this point, they've invested in him and they owe it to themselves to give him a chance to see if he can deliver on that investment.

@franciscopomar2942 There is so much wrong here. I am not trying to sound mean or argue but for instance, Kubiak is offensive coordinator not oline coordinator. You said his father Gary Kubiak made the playoffs 2 times in 10 years. That is wrong, as a head coach he was the Super Bowl 50 champion and 3x Super Bowl champion as an assistant coach. As a head coach he went to 3 playoffs altogether. He learned from Mike Shanahan, 2x Super Bowl champion, National Champion and Division II National Champion. The Shanahan tree is as follows, his parents were Dan Reeves and George Seifert and his children include Gary Kubiak, Mike Mcdaniel, Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan. Gary Kubiak was successful and it's a successful family tree. We don't know if Klint Kubiak will be successful with the Saints but Gary Kubiak is no chump.
Also the Saints can't have another 8-9 season under Allen because they haven't had the first one yet. He has never gone 8-9 as head coach of the Saints.
The rest of what you said is just your opinion, which I respect but disagree with everything you said except our oline has big question marks. I am hoping that is not the case this year but for sure it was the case last year.
