This is the tune I'm working on lately. You play it wonderfully, John....I'm just gonna keep at it and try and get it as smooth as you play it....Cheers!
Ah. So nice to see another excellent video, my friend. Your teaching method works for me and I'm all over you going through the Foggy Mountain album. Keep it up!
Thanks very much John. I enjoy trying to transcribe these tunes on my own. But this is the second time, after days of working with the recording, I've come to your transcription to check myself and found that I've misheard some of the rolls or notes. When I go back to the Scruggs recording, it's very clear that you've got it right. These are great transcriptions!
Thanks so much, John. I've been wanting to play a new song on my rather neglected banjo and this is a really helpful lesson. I've never learned a song so fast! :)
Hey John! Great job! I was wondering if maybe you could do a video lesson on the banjo part from Thirst Mutilator by billy strings. I have watched a bunch of live videos of the song and am still having trouble with it. Unfortunately there are literally no videos at all talking about the banjo portion of that song. Keep up the great work man!
There are some parts in there that are not in the Earl version like the measures after the three consecutive 1st string at the 5th fret notes. Am I correct on that? thanks.

Why would people dislike this. Also great picking
Banjo community is small but has surpsingly became more toxic this year, call it stress from the pandemic. No idea.
You couldn't do a lesson on silver bells the one that's in Earl Scruggs old book as a duet to this
The lesson was great thanks

Are you talking about the measures around 3:45 in the video?
@@rjmoney9 Yes, but I noticed them at about the :55 and the 1:05. thanks
