The Aesthetics of 90s emo is just so unique. I am glad these guys just played some live shows nowadays and didn't start trying to recreate the 90s aesthetics like American Football did releasing new stuff. Because recreating this will not work. Let these legendary bands rest in peace and remain legendary. Actually reviving them to the point of writing new songs and releasing new songs may ruin their legacies. I really don't want to say this is true for every of these bands, but for the most it is true: The songs they wrote were raw and authentic in emotion because they were written during these guys teenage years. The most emotional period of every human. When you heard their lyrics you just knew they were real authentic descriptions of their lives. The problem is that nowadays these men are 40 year old men... It won't work. You might put emotion into songs at that age but it will NEVER be as much raw and pure emotion as it is when you write something as a 15-mid 20 year old.
I hear you but I say all these Midwest emo and indie bands should keep doin what they do. If it’s good it’s good and nothing they put out is gonna take away from their early stuff and how I felt when I connected with it as a kid. YEEEHAW!
Who was gonna tell me this tape was already on UA-cam and I didn't have to make timestamps on whoever's reupload of this I had been watching until this point.
