"To hit high notes I have to scream, and that's not gonna happen right now" ah chris is such a common man
this is amazing omg
Play February in the March version.
Why? How to complete Gloria in acoustic way? :(
I did not expect Love Letter Typewriter to get played when I was at the beginning; it sounded so refreshing; depressing but so good.
holy shit i feel like i just found a gem!
I was three months old when this was filmed. Today I'm almost 22 and seeing this band live for the first time tonight.
We’re not far off man. I was born three months after this came out
I was 10-11. How time flies.
I was -4 and 22 this february
Woke pussy ass liberals..
I was born that month...
I'd give anything to have been there to see this. It's great to see them fooling around too. They seem like pretty funny guys.
Just bought my ticket to the Los Angelas Show in October. Im so excited. I havent seen Mineral since 1995 when I was 18 years old.
simply amazing
I wish they recorded more than 25 songs
Rubber Legs on a acoustic tune is so depressing... I like it that way.
they are back :')
Are you serious?! :o
10:16 is M.D - Freaking love that song, should have been on EndSerenading!
doesn't fit in
@@heriijunee I disagree. It could have fit well as a hidden track at the album's end, after a small track of silence; that would have given it a nice separation but still been great on it.
@@cleverestx nah, just listen the collection on spotify and it really doesn't fit. It's better as a single only like rubber legs, it has the same vibes, &serenading it's already perfect.
The Get Up Kids - Shorty (live acoustic)
Here is The Get up Kids playing Shorty at the same show
The Get Up Kids Acoustic in Michael Dubin's Dorm Loyola College Baltimore, MD 1997 this was apparently in Baltimore, MD in 1997.
Tyler Sonnichsen damn thats where i live....
long live this video. long live
this is great but playing LoveLetterTypewriter is kinda pointless without Palisade after it. also Slower would've worked better than Gloria on acoustic
The end of “February” is so powerful!
why don't you guys play the one on the crank comp?
Man this is incredible! Such a great find! It be so great to if they ever found a video of The Get Up Kids' set.
That one is on Matt Dubin’s youtube.
Those guys should go back togheter...
dude. i was EVEN alive when this CAME OUT.
I don't know the date, (I've been trying for years to no avail) but I DO know that this is in Mike Dubin's dorm room in Massachusetts. Boston, I think, but I'm not sure. Mike Dubin was a friend of The Get Up Kids, and a lot of the videos you see of them performing live up until the early 2000's were shot by him.
Chris is SOO EMO!!
Some very lucky people got to see some pretty incredible acts in that dorm room! Get Up Kids, Mineral...sheesh!
The third song made me cry because i recalled all touching moments and tender feelings with my girlfriend, with whom we just broke up
Great recording
I feel you man I’m also undergoing something similar “the breakup” her and I just broke up nearly 2 months ago if you need any help I’m here for you👍stay strong
Esta buenisimo me encanta Mineral un abrazo desde Ecuador
Francisco Salazar EN BOMBAS HERMANO
I just realized you are on tour with Matt Pryor and James Dewees. I'll see you at the Brooklyn show. Cheers!
This video made me mourn.... :'(
probably the only live performance of Rubber Legs ever filmed...got damn holy motherfucking christ
Wow, the lead singer of Mineral looks almost exactly like how I thought he would
i knew it, Chris is fking handsome
what's the name of the guitar on the right?
I can't believe that I'm only seeing this for the first time right now. Incredible. It's so completely 90s. I feel like I was there.
hoping this is what my college will be like
mineral acustico perfeito
I'm pretty sure this is from Mike Dubin's dorm room at the University of Maryland. I have definitely seen video of The Get Up Kids performing in front of that window, and I have mp3's of Loner, Shorty, and a really funny version of Amy where Jim talks over the bridge.
holy
It's. so. Amazing. *-*
Wow this is so incredible.
This is astonishing.
I like how Scott keep messing up and Chris was mad about it lol
Is this actually the real Mineral's bassist?
RICARDO FONTOURA yep
I love them.
yes.
so excited to see them in 10 days mwahahha
Holy shit are you goin to the Cleveland show too?!
No I'm going to the Chicago one.
Oh thats fucking awesome. I'm stoked as hell arent you? lol

They were amazing!
When South Park was brand new lol
This video is from September of 1997 and was shot at an apartment in Baltimore, MD.
OOOOOH QUE JOYA!
Hey! They're doing the alternate version of Gloria with the longer intro!
what kind of camera would they have used to film this? i'd kill for one [not literally, please don't send FBI to my house]
lol very funny
13:29 who knows this guy
myluckyelephant I think that’s the drummer
Why haven't I seen this before?
yeah i thought so. thanks for this anyway, they are one of my favorite bands.
Who else is on this tape? Thanks for posting!
why is gloria only 1:09 long. sucks.
Matt Pryor and Rob Pope at 14:28.
this is the best thing i have ever seen
it's the way i found the tape unfortunately.
where did you find this footage?
what a true live means
awesome
...and THANK you for this video!
MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE
trying not 2 cry so good
best live ever
great
thanks so much!
Too Cool!
💔
Cris is emo?!
It sucks they are reuniting imo
yes i was wondering if i'm the only one who hates that old emo bands are reuiniting like crazy... and i hate that this music is IN right now
Simon B. It's not like this music is "in" nowadays. It's still far from popular.
However, the issue is that if you watch videos of the reunite live shows you will notice they just don't sound the same at all.
I think it isn't a good idea to reunite a band that was found when it's members were in their youth years and wrote songs about everyday youth-problems almost 20 years after the break up.
You especially notice this with American Football. Having men in their early 40s who probably even have families and children singing about broken hearts by teenage relationships etc.? It just doesn't work. They can't put as much emotion in those songs anymore as they could when they were actually experiencing these problems 20 years ago. And that results in a worse sound of the music. I don't even judge them badly for that because no one could put the same emotions again into songs like these 20 years later. But you should just let the band rest then.
+Dreck interesting, i agree that it can't work to be a 40 year old singing from the perspective of a teenager but maybe there's another way they can do it sing it and play it like these are the songs we grew up on lets just kill it and acknowledge we are 40 year old guys doing it. Just be real about it you know. It could be kinda funny and fun.
contactkeithstack Well, what elevates Mineral and especially Chris's writing is that it's timeless.
