The scene of dex crying on his bed absolutely killed me
I’ve never cried so much for a tv show or movie and this broke every emotional bone in my body

The series invests a lot of time telling the full story of Em and Dexter and their lives to the point where you feel like you grew up knowing them which makes the heartbreak even more bittersweet and devastating at the same time. I love how the series creates 20 years of a relationship in all its complexities, through ups and downs, the small and big moments of life. It's so real and the supporting cast also made the story so much more rich. One Day really made me stop and think about appreciating each day and each friendship and loved one. It's those special relationships through life that give life meaning. The novel encapsulates the whole theme of the story with this line "we'll always have today" 😢. Thank you for sharing your reaction and I hope more people watch this amazing series!

Emma was wearing a yellow top, and you will notice that in the next scene with his daughter, yellow flowers appeared on the ground. His daughter has red ribbons in her hair, as Emma did in the past T^T

I high-key, HIGH-KEY would have loved to have been spoiled on this show!! I'm still in denial like there's an episode that's missing and Emma is just in a coma - Dex is just having a nightmare and he's about to wake up. Denial is the only way I'm coping!!

@@k1988smith I got spoiled just typing "Emma" on youtube and the top search was "emma morley death" but I still broke down the last 2 episodes. I can't imagine how I would've felt if I didn't know she was gonna die.
I just turned 36 and it really feels like this...the years are flying by, life happens, you find friends, you lose loved ones and looking back you can not believe how fast your youth vanished.

I lost my husband, the love of my life in 2013 and the way Dexs dad handled it or tried to, his words of wisdom and love just touches my heart. Our parents were and still are huge reasons I keep going besides our daughter. Losing someone you are so deeply connected to is the most heartbreaking thing. You realize you wasted so much time before them like what was I even doing before I met him and after they’ve gone you have no choice but to go on without them with your whole world completely changed. I feel for Dex. I adore Em and I’m going to miss these two. Their love story though frustrating and ultimately tragic at the end, it’s so real and well played out by both actors. Can’t wait til my book is here later this week ❤

Omg, I cried all over again watching this 😭 This show is such a romantic masterpiece! The leads did an absolute stellar job with their chemistry showing this truly deep, enduring and timeless love, plus the realness of emotions of their individual characters as they grow in life. The heartbreak, devastation and loss feels so tangible, especially because they were soulmates, each other's greatest love and best friends.
I literally ugly cried ALLL of episode 14. I actually needed to take a break, and watch something funny because I could not handle it
I just finished it and ugly SOBBED loudly the whole way through. I’m still all snotty/runny nosed and gross. I’m so heartbroken for them after all that 😭

I don't know if you noticed but when Dex goes back to Arthur's seat with Jazz there are yellow flowers there and Emma had a yellow top on the day they climbed it, also Jazz had a red hair tie in as did Emma i didnt notice until i rewatched, the flowers represented Emma, she was there with them😢😢😢

Such an impactful story for me! I met a very special person in my life, but was so afraid of my feelings and also very insecure about myself, so in the end it didn't work out at all. But I think of him to these days. Wish I could've said what I felt, my life could be so different... You have to live bravely, life is something you do and not something you're afraid of. It should be. Emma reminds me so much of my youth and even present me... God, the tragedy of her life... I just can't. God bless all of the people who made this story possible, forever grateful ❤

I wish I could jump through the screen and hug you while crying for such loss! We all felt the same and shared the same desire to feel a once in a lifetime love, and we all root for the lovers that are joined by their souls, just like Dex and Em. 💜
This series made us felt like we grew up them, I understand the arch of the story is about unexpected events in life somehow he can still deliver the same msg without killing her off, miscarriage or other life events can achieve that.

Thank you for reacting to this show. I loved this show so much! I read the book before I saw the tv adaptation or the film and I still haven't forgiven the author for writing this ending. Can you imagine getting to the end of a 400 page love story, rooting for these two characters to finally get together, only for one of the characters to be killed off and leaving the other character alone and heartbroken? I have never hated an ending more and yet I still re-read this book every year through my tears 😂 It's the only book I don't dare to recommend to another person

The ending was so German. German dramas end in cheesy fatalities or, in the case of murder mysteries, the “I pushed him, then he tripped and hit his head and died” thing.
