“$32 is pricey for fake food” LITERALLY my thought process when I first heard about these accessories! Also, it was so funny you mentioned monkeys! I was OBSESSED because of Disney’s Tarzan, zaboomafoo, the Bobby Jack brand, etc.
Good to know I'm not the only person who thinks of early 2010s when I see Nicki's bed spread! The colors and zebra print remind me of my Justin Bieber phase. I'm sure its authentically late 90s, but I guess it made a comeback in 2009-2011!
I was pretty sure I actually found a flyer in my room which used to be my two sisters room and I thought I was a personal pizza too? Didn't keep the flyer because it had chewing gum on it.
I mean. I get why they did it from a marketing POV: some of these styles are back in. But... I really think calling 1999 is very strange. I'd rather them add a retro line or just add this to another line. Maybe I'm being picky, but its' very odd to me. That aside, you did a great job as always with the video, so thank you. I appreciate your perspective
I'd love to hear your parents' thoughts on the twins collection! I grew up in the '90s and this collection seems more 2000s than anything. We had helmets but it was very un-cool to wear them lol! But I think you'd really enjoy watching the VH1 "I love the 90s" series (not sure where it's streaming but you can also find it here on YT) to get ideas.
We didn’t wear helmets and knee pads normally in the 90s. But they were around. I think AG wanted to cover the whole decade and that’s why they did 1999. They wanted the whole aesthetic. They may have wanted Y2K in their story as well which was a huge conspiracy at the time and a concern at the time for many ppl. A lot of the things that were very popular in the 2000s got their start in the late 90s. Obviously they’re trying to cover the nostalgia for so many ppl.
I was 12 during 1999 and omg y2k had me terrified like I had prepared for it and even made my parents fill the tub up with water lol I had a y2k furby and I remember being so upset because it seemed like furby was mocking the whole y2k fear but yeah I ate a lot of cup of noodles in the year 2000 because I had bought so many for my food preps to the point of im 35 now and I will not eat cup of noodles anymore im sick of them lol
Okay, so twins for late 90's and early 2000's?... look like 1 is all girl and the other 1 is a tomboy?... yes something like that... I may have known that decade, I remembered what computer 🖥 looked like 👍, and thank me later about what the internet was like (it was slow 🐌)also you can't pick up the phone then (the land line 1s. )... that's all for now ❤️.
yeah I hated dial up I remember being the first one in my family to get internet through the cable company so my family would come over to use the internet cause they had it but it sucked lol
Um actually here it was a law for kids to wear helmets and knee pads in the 1990s ... However I know you would be in huge trouble if you got caught but you could secretly ride a bike on dirt roads. Like your parents could get a ticket if you got caught apparently... So I was just little and the Y2K thing creeped me out because during the children's program before the new year they gave all the kids dog tags because they said we might all be starving to death or thrown in jail??? I don't think I ever said much to my parents, I mean I had three siblings there with me so I figured if it was true at least my sister would know? But I don't really remember much except my grandparents died and that changed my entire life.

I recall the Book-It Program, you earned a personal pan pizza, I believe that is the reason there is only one drink glass.

Animal slippers were huge in the late 90’s. They were even made for adults. My husband had moose slippers and I had elephant slippers.
I had Scooby Doo ones 😂
I just watched A Focus on the Cute's live stream from the LA store and Isabel DOES have a fuzzy-topped pen! I knew you would be thrilled. :)

I always get so happy when i see you posted!
I so happy that American Girl made dolls featuring my birth year even though I also feel old because of it 😅
The aliens are so 90's x-files & Art Bell haha
I remember everyone panicking about Y2K. Some people thought that banks would shut down and everyone would lose all their money.

Isabel's Bedroom Accessories include: "a pink journal with a printed graphic on the front, and a pink pom-pom pen"
There were helmets. I had one. They just weren’t worn as much back then as they are today.
Pretty sure they invented helmets by 1995 because i had a helmet that year

Monkeys not money lol

It was the brand Lisa Frank
I got Isabel because I liked her clothes
Isabel is so stylish, I love her style!
There were helmets in 1999
They have the same birthday as my mom except my mom is about 30 years older , lol
off topic from the video but you spelled Isabel wrong in the title of the video.
