Worst take I’ve heard on this so far. Clearly you know nothing about pre Christian Ireland. It’s nothing to do with religion it’s to do with culture.
You seriously believe this is a good song for Eurovision?? Come on now! And it’s like Satanism. 🤯🤢🤮
Agreed. It was like listening to two boys in school hating on someone because 'they're weird'. Zero intellectual input.
They literally have a satanic star on the stage.
To be fair, neopaganism has nothing to do with ancient paganism, of which we know almost nothing about. Neopaganism is just a modern invention.

@@FountainWeeper How so?
Your commentary is obviously prejudiced by your religious outlook and beliefs.
As is the song
You do know they are talking about Ireland.
It's just using provocative imagery to communicate the story of a battle to overcome a psychological distress born of life events, probably romance related. (Edit. Considering the intention was to include peace in Palestine messages which was not allowed, the battle here could be interpreted and against the God of Warmongering?). The staging and performance were very impressive. It's a bit medieval to be shocked and distressed about it really.
It's straight up satanic witchcraft in your face. Come on now.
The best act ever. So proud of Ireland. Music, artistic and everything was exceptional!
This is a freaking masterpiece. Camera work, choreo, vocals, presenting old Ireland culture of paganism. This is the point of Eurovision, bring part of your country with you. It may be dark but this is one of the best performances ever on the Eurovision stage. CROWN THE WITCH
Oh well it’s not for everyone I guess. Paganism is rooted in Irish history, sad that you decided to view it as satanic. Irish people voted for this as our representative, of course some people are not happy.
This performance is really just a vehicle to convey the message of the song, about navigating damaging relationships and acceptance of one’s identity. Bambie summons a demon (damaging relationship), plays around with it (dancing) it reveals their identity (dress reveal), they realise they need this “demon” out of their life and “kill” it.
I’d agree with you in a sense that it is playing for shock value. But to come away with the notion that this performance is to be considered as a literal promotion of a satanic ritual is just a bit naïve. I hate using this word but it’s “art”. It’s a characterisation, a story, a performance to encapsulate turmoil, confusion and eventual defiance. It’s not a lifestyle.
Again this is just my opinion and you are of course are entitled to yours which I respect 👍
This is not for Eurovision! Come on now, it’s horrible!
@@HopefulInterventions Oh so Eurovision HAS to be one way and thats it? That makes no sense and there is no rule stating such.
This is exactly what Eurovision Song Contest is nowadays, it's about performance and act more than anything. They should win this never seen or heard anything like this. It is very unique and captivating
Your opinion is wrong. It is straight up satanic dark witchcraft! Gosh y'all people. Quit trying to down play it as something else. And the song is awful, and sounds awful!! That's def the furthest thing from art.

Guys Ireland has a rich ancient pagan culture which is older than christianity. so it is not satanic it is traditional! Sorry this is the truth. Maybe as educators maybe you could research celtic paganism and the historical significance of paganism and Ireland.
Thank you for your politeness! I just want to clarify that this is not an educational channel. I used to teach English in the first year of this channel, but now we have a different audience in a different category.
It's a "first-time reaction" channel. So, we purposely don't do any research beforehand because we don't want to spoil the surprise element that a video may have once it's recommended to us.
Our viewers sometimes intentionally send us videos with "high shock value" to get a funny or spontaneous reaction from us. Hope that helps!
@@TeacherPaulReacts thank you for your kind reply! Even not being educators currently you can sure be learners. We are proud of our heritage and history in Ireland. Halloween was invented here! And we still celebrate pagan festivals here! My point was more geared at here is something you can learn so you understand the context. I was already aware it was a first time reaction. Well done!
Sadly we have a lot of Bible eating individuals in Ireland, who are fine with the church's past in Ireland which included but not an encompassing list - unmarried mother prisons, working women to death, removing their babies and sending them to USA or killing them, Conversion therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals, to even molestation of Children who were alter boys and girls in service of the church by their own priests or teachers. Some people are so bound to the bible that they forget the live and let live and love all as your neighbour clause of the bible.
Ireland did not invent the 6 sided pentagram its pure evil
Guys, calm down, its paganism nothing evil about it, for reference look up the ancient irish goddess Morrigan, shape shifter, sometimes to a raven, like bambi is referring to in her dress. It part of irish culture like the greek gods are part of Greek culture and far, far, far older than any Judeo-Christian religion, calm down don't be so serious and marvel at the performance and crown the witch
Look she made us feel several emotions at once love, horror, happy. It's an experience
Wow!! Incredible! Best surprise performance of the night. It was incredible. Over the top drama and entertaining. It takes a lot of talent to perform at that level. Bravo Bambie! So good! #BambieThug #CrownTheWitch
P.S. This is more pagan than satanic. There is nothing evil about this. Have you ever read the bible? Lots of scary stuff in there. JS
A fantastic theatrical performance.. how she switch that voice with the different vocals .. that melody chorus even if you don’t like gothic rock metal is catchy and beautifully sang . The whole thing is excellently preformed and very eye catching. The words of that chorus mean a lot to most people with a broken heart .. how many times do you overestimate people that let you down time & time again until you finally realize and walk away.
I think they’re pleasing anyone who appreciates performance, cinematography and talent. Have never seen a Eurovision performance like it. Didn’t know it was a spiritual value contest.. I’m sure there are some religion festivals you can comment on
I think you missed the point there, I didn't say I wanted anything with spiritual value, I was saying it as a positive thing. I was trying to remind myself it was just an act. "It has no spiritual value, it isn't a real ritual," trying to understand how it passed on live tv. My first impression was that this was a tribute to the devil, and I will never support that.
I don't want a religious festival, that's why I thought this was unnecessary. Eurovision has become a place for agenda, while I just wanted to enjoy music. Maybe if this was just an audio, I would've focused on a different aspect of it rather than the shock value visuals they opted to prioritise 👍
@@TeacherPaulReacts I do understand your interpretation, but I’m not very religious anymore and see the performance first. I see at as a performance in which they defeat their demons, by being true to who they are; Irish pagan, and those demons being predominantly gender based (hence the costume change into the trans colours) of course though, that’s one interpretation and there can be many more, which is what art is meant to do. Another reason I think this is a 10/10 performance. It brings about discussion and don’t tell me, however you feel about it, that you weren’t gripped for the entirety of the song.
It's OK to have different opinions.. But sorry my 12 points are going to Ireland, let's crown w the witch!!!
Thank you! We DO have different opinions, and that's OK 👍 Reactors should be honest and don't need to like everything

This is a beautiful and very expressive song. Before Christianity there was paganism and there is actually information about all that on the UA-cam. Search your self and do not forget the history of the crusades and witch burning. Christianity has a very bloody history.
There are a lot of details on the costume and the stage which do not have a bad meanings at all.
You really think that this dancing lady has anything to do with ancient Irish paganism😂? I sorry to say this, but we actually don't know very much about ancient paganism. The few things we do know mostely comes from early christian sources. This lady probably is into 'neopaganism', which isn't paganism at all, but just a modern attempt at reconstructing ancient paganism (neopaganism by the way is based on those same few early christian sources which aren't objective sources at all, hence it is all looking 'demonic' because that is the frame those early christian sources used to describe the ancient pagans).
@@lazarus3956 Even so, I am in favour of using so-called "demonic" imagery in neopaganism, because at this point I am too disappointed in mainstream faiths to really care about their sentiments

Ever heard of New Grange? Giants Causeway? Two of many Neolithical/Pagan sites which people from home and abroad visit, the symbols engraved in these sites are used by Bambie Thug, even the Dear itself is a symbol from Neolithical times. Halloween is also a Neolithical/Pagan Celtic Holiday celebrating three events, the end of harvest, Celtic New years eve, and all souls day AKA trick or treat! Oh yes, I almost forgot, the witch is a term labeled as a Neolithical/Pagan Doctor, A druid is actually a Neolithical/Pagan priest or a wise person, Also in Neolithical/Pagan Ireland a woman had equal rights as men,
How do people not get that this is paganism not satanic its part of Irish culture
It is satanic for sure! Devil is real!
It's not apart of anything it's just a messy insult towards the LGBTQ
It is still herecy
ladies and gents, here we have a perfect example of why the US will never be in Eurovision (and why their boring rip off flopped)
Sadly we have a lot of such conservative snowflakes here in europe....
If it helps I’m from the US and I think this performance is the best staged act ever to be on ESC. I will be sending all my votes to Ireland on Saturday. It’s a masterpiece!
Why does everyone here assume he's from the US? He's from Brazil but lives in the UK.
I could just guess from the thumbnail the kind of reaction you would have and the comments confirming it saves me having to watch 👋🏼
Oh wow! I'm also gonna be honest, people like you that say things like this even if you understood nothing from the performance and have a very very narrow vision disgust me in 2024. The fact that a young boy states what the one on the right does is way more scary for our future than anything that Bambie did.
Its not good, its amazing!
Love this, bloody amazing Ireland.
Isso é inspirado na região pagã da Irlanda antes de serem colonizados e o catolicismo ser instroduzido por lá. Inclusive, Bambie usa a escrita Oghan no rosto. A música passou pra Grande Final e é uma das favoritas para ganhar o Eurovision.
Its just a bit art, story telling and fun Calm down and maybe learn to look at things more deeply rather than being shallow
There's nothing satanic about it, Witches/Ghouls are to the Irish as Heracles/Hermes are to the Greeks; Halloween is an old Irish Holiday, similar to 'dia de los Muertos'. The story of the song is a person defeating their demons, be it love or addiction; literally defeating the demon at the end...
If she conjured something, even by accident, only Thug Bambi's soul is on the line.
Yis are in shock it’s so good!😂😂😂 maybe watch it another few times…. Numb nuts you guys!!😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
C'mon guys, this is pure ART! From the voice, to the performance, to the cosumography, to the phenomenal scenography! It's a theatrical performance and they are giving it all! It has nothig to do with evil or disrespecting religions or some other things you came up with! The only thing shocking here are your comments after watching this masterpiece!
This is art, epic, fantastic... if you can't see that, well .....I guess you rather have a star than a moon... I guess I always overestimated you......

You guys haven't a clue. It is a brilliant song performed to perfection.
You guys, like most people, are totally not getting what this song is about. It's about facing and defeating your inner demons. The song is very heavy metal, without the guitars.
Bambie Thug is a very talented person and this is a performance.
She has received so much hatred because of this, from narrow minded morons. It's just music. If you don't like it, don't listen to it.
Interesting to see people not understand this, reminds me of conservative aunties at family gatherings. Regardless, hope this urges you to actually look into the meaning and intent, this is what eurovision is for. You seeing it as evil and non-broadcastable is quite funny. It is good because it is art, the story clearly shows how Bambi Thug fought and won over the devil. It is one of the best performances Ireland has ever sent, period.
And if you are wondering that you have not seen this in Eurovision before, gotta say, thats on you, mayhaps you have heard of Finland winners in 2006 - Lordi? Quite famous they are
Crown the witch babes
Clearly they’re pleasing a lot of people as they’re in the final exclusively by televote.
I believe these comments are overly exaggerated, we’re talking about an artist chosen by their own country in their own preselection, let’s cut the religious bias crap. This is a tv show, they followed every single rule Eurovision demands, I don’t see any shock factor here, just an artist giving an incredible and entertaining performance, whilst being true to themselves. And guess what, people loved it.
Plus, I don’t understand why it should not be allowed to be broadcasted. Does free speech and self expression ring a bell?
Crown The Witch! We are looking at the winner!!!
Awesome performance! Irland should win!
It is the only song with a lot of work / talent / passion, a true artiste , the other just don't have personnality
*sigh* Disappointing reaction. You don't have to like the song, but there wasn't a single comment about the ACTUAL performance. What about the choreography, vocal performance, costuming, set design, sound engineering, stage lighting or graphics? Saying it's scary is okay, but there's nothing actually scary happening. The comments about the imagined intentions of the performer were also quite patronising. Eurovision is supposed to be in your face. It's about pure spectacle. Have you seen "Hard Rock Hallelujah" by Mr. Lordi that WON Eurovision in 2006??
im from cork from where they are from and i couldnt be prouder of my country and them
Well, the ogham writing and the pagan roots of this epic performance go back much further than the roots of modern Ireland. a haunting, shocking, provocative masterpiece! It is PAGAN, it is not satanic at all. It just references that darkness.
This is neopaganism and has no historical connection with ancient paganism, wich went extinct centuries ago. It is just silly to think that Irish people 2000 years ago would share any spiritual/religious connection with this dancing lady at all. In fact, neopaganism is just a modern attempt at reconstruction of something which is lost to the ages. And the 'satanic' look of some forms of neopaganism are there because neopaganism is mostely based on early christian writings on ancient paganism, who obviously thought of the ancient pagans as 'demonic'.
best part of this entry is all the religious types clutching their peals about it being "evil".
I liked it a lot! My guess is that it will get not that much points by the juries, but a lot of points by the Voting. It will end up high, I'm sure. The new Maneskin in that regard! Greetings from Germany!
Bro you know religion is made up? No need to get butthurt over some costumes...
It is theatre. You read far too much into it.
Such closed minded people 🙄 Eurovision is not about religion….I guess it’s not for you!
I know right not to mention clearly have no idea of history at all or a concept of art at all it’s mainly Christians as always not all are so fundamental but most are it’s no wonder their churches are dying out no one goes the devil been the best friend of the church since they invented it to control you and take your money and let you live in fear and conform BS to that I say just wait til the Bible is banned it’s already been banned in many countries they will love that karma is a B eh you slaughtered the pagans now the time has come and karma has you all in a mess
The clear example between the spiritual warfare she was “crying” because Golan Eden from Israel was to perform. You can see the clear difference of the two types of spiritual the best example is Bambi and Golan Eden very clear message!
Why people should think: " what Catholics would think"? Seriously, why? I'm from catholic country and I don't give a sh** what they're thinking if they don't mess with my way of living.
This performance from "pagan witch" was top notch. They voice was amazing! You can like it or not....but sorry, things that You said irritate me. It's like You don't have respect for the artist and this anxiety about Catholics as if we should worry about what they like...

This looks like a raw impression of a person in a very dark place struggling with themselves.
I don't think this is satanic, I think this is an artistic performance.
Your taking it way to serious man lol. I like it because it's a great act. Great visual performance. Great build-up. It's not shocking to me it's just different and I like Eurovision to have a lot of variety.
lol, people in the comments are taking it way too seriously. I'm just out here watching Eurovision, and then a witch and a demon just pop up unexpectedly. If it's not meant to cause an impression and spark a reaction, then why do it?
@@TeacherPaulReacts The impression doesnt have to be shock though.
It's the surprise factor. If this was in a religious setting or a dark arts show, then there wouldn't be a shock. The thing is, I went into it thinking it's another Eurovision song, coming from Finland's naked guy act. Got shocked 2x over seeing the curveballs Eurovision is throwing at us 😂😂😂
It's not like I went out on a witch hunt (pun intended), it's a first time reaction, all these acts do something to stand out, so they got what they wanted, a strong and spontaneous reaction, both of them.
@@TeacherPaulReacts did you get what you wanted when you said Bambi's act is evil? It's not a love thy neighbour as thyself, judge not lest you be judged, let he who is without sin cast the first stone kind of thing to say, I think.
They are pagan, not satanic, but I guess the demonic aesthetic is there because it's a song about breakup... You see if You ever had someone You loved and they leave You... Man, the feelings You feel inside can pretty much be summarised as if a demon, not to mention after it all settles down, the person who tricked You seems like a demon who masquaraded as an angel before You... I have been there and mate it's horrible. The song is about dealing with it, killin' this "demon" and that's what she's doing on stage, so... Idk, just my thoughts. But I agree when ppl make songs for Eurovision they all want their performances to be outrageous. You know, EV is about who will shake the audience more, rather than for music, who's gotta the best performance, not the best song really. EV was always a theatre, not a song contest.
I'm sure you got the meaning of the song and the production right. It's a pity that many people now don't even try to understand the meaning of metaphors and come up with some kind of conspiracy theory.

As an Israeli, I cannot understand one thing, if Bambi Thug has so many claims against Israel, why did she choose the name Bambi for herself, which is the most Zionist name possible. The novel Bambi was written by a Zionist writer and the character of the young deer is a metaphor for the persecution of the Jews.
Great song, great visuals. For me best song on EV ever.
Music is storytelling, just like a painting, just like a movie. The artist here was good at portraying their imaginary and story. You can dislike it but claiming it shouldn't be broadcasted and that is evil and so shocking is peak bigotry and we all know that religious induced fear of devil and evil hurt more people throughout history, in a more concrete and violent way than this artist could ever do by possibly "offending" religious people with pagan symbols, which by the way are part of Irish heritage.
Horror gimmick in music go all the way back to the 70s with Alice Cooper, KiSS, Black Sabath and others. I understand your concern, but God sees all and fears none of it.
Thought of a few others: Dio, Merciful Fate.
Absolutely brilliant. My winner on the night, and my favourite Eurovision performance ever.

Hello from Switzerland. I'm here because yesterday I saw your reaction to Nemo's song and I really appreciated the analysis relating to the music, the hidden meanings, the singer's vocal abilities, the performance as a whole, etc...
This is why I am very sorry to point out how absolutely shameful this reaction is. You have fixated on one point, the alleged "Satanism", and have not moved from there the entire time. Aside from the fact that Satanism has nothing to do with it, you could have at least asked yourself what the song is about (and then maybe you would have understood why they allowed it to be broadcast). You talked about honesty and I really appreciate honesty... but honesty is useless if it comes from ignorance and all you have done is talk about... things you don't know.
I can understand that this is just a "reaction"... but from someone who calls himself "Teacher" I would expect something more. Am I wrong? Then, of course, you may like it or not: I never discuss people's taste, but...
Try watching it again, this time without prejudice and paying attention to everything that happens on that stage: the incredible performance, not only the most spectacular of the whole event but unquestionably also the most meticulous, down to the last detail, from every point of view: from the singing one, the theatrical/actoral one and the technical/directing one (so much so that more than a song SINGED LIVE it almost seems like an entire feature film condensed into 3 minutes). The song itself, full of implications, of surprising solutions (at a certain point I felt projected from a death metal concert to a Broadway musical), full of power but also of poetry and of which I would invite you to delve deeper into the (real) meaning of the lyrics. Not to mention the singer's wonderful voice and the mastery with which she manages, just like Nemo, not to drool a note despite the complexity of the performance itself.
I repeat: try to watch it again without prejudice and you will realize that you are faced with perfection, from all points of view.
Greetings.
PS: sorry for my poor english 😉
This is the winner it's just a song be cool it's a masterpiece
I love all your Forestella reaction videos but I disagree on your opinion about this performance here. Who knows maybe Pitta from Forestella will cover this song one day (they did cover the ESC song "The Voice" (ESC winner 1996 for Irland) in on of their concerts)
That's fair, we don't need to agree on everything, although, it wasn't really an opinion, just a spontaneous reaction. It's not like I went out to intentionally criticise something I saw beforehand. This whole act was designed to provide shock value, and that's how I reacted, in shock 🤗
As I said in the video itself, I couldn't even pay attention to the song because the imagery was intentionally made to call attention. So, I have no idea what they said in the song itself, the act was just unnecessary overkill.
If you watch my videos, you know a simple guitar and voice is enough 👌
@@TeacherPaulReacts to be honest the song is also not my cup of tea but I am happy that Ireland did risk finally something and it paid off, finally after many years they are in the grand final again.
Oh, so they aren't normally in the finals?
@@TeacherPaulReacts Ireland with Sweden won it more times than anyone else.
Irish Marilyn Manson, why not?
Let me out of here. This is not a world I want to live in. See ya.
I disagree. This is also art, it's not bad taste. We know that magic doesn't really exist, but it's cool to make it look like it exists. Besides, aggression is also a very important and inherent feeling in a person, why not express it in such songs and forms? For me, it's very beautiful, not scary and just shocking, these beautiful transitions between good and bad also make sense, it's like in an abusive relationship, you feel bad, but you endure for the sake of good, and then it's bad again.
