Oh, I feel you! 🌱 Ecuagenera is so tempting, especially as the days get shorter. It’s like the ultimate autumn pick-me-up! 🍂 Stay strong, though...or just maybe treat yourself a little. 😅💚
Hi Memo! For anthurium crosses, first name is "mom" and second name is "dad." A bit of a fun fact, luxurians is usually the pollen donor in crosses because their flowers take such a long time to berry. 💚
Thank you Dave!! 🌱💚 Always love coming up with new ideas, and your support means the world! Let me know if there's ever a topic you’d love to see or maybe a collab between our channels 😁
Shippment internationally from Asia etc.: I totally agree with you on it. It´s not worth the hassle. And the plants are going to be available in a few years here anyway, if they get popular, so why to bother. Plants that ship well in my experience: aglaonema, monstera, some alocasia. I´m sure ZZ, haworthia (both nearly undestroyable) and hoya would do well too. Plants that hate shipping in my experience: calathea and some other marantaceae (they seem happy to die, esp. if one touches their roots too soon), begonia (they got moldy and had fungal issues because the seller packed them in plastic), peperomia (they break easily).
You’re so right! 🌱🌍 Aglaonema and ZZ are definitely tough travelers, and Calathea...well, they just seem to despise it! 😂 Totally agree on the plants from Asia - with time, they do usually make their way into local markets. Thanks for sharing your experience with shippable (and non-shippable!) plants! 🌿✨
Just purchased one from ecuagenera usa. It had 3 leaves , 2 died one left. Hoping the plant is ok. Rubrocinctum don't touch it gets its britches in a bunch😂😂😂😂😅
Haha, you're so right! 😂 Philo Rubrijuvenile is practically a homebody! Moving rooms is risky enough-international shipping would be next level. Thanks for the laugh! 🌱💚
I have a burning question for Memo and everybody. If you have Apoballis plant and it's got "sad" thirsty, will it bounce back like Fittonia or will it rot? Is it light thirsty or a bit more tolerant one? The idea of plants import brings me stress. Any plant delivery is more stressful to me than it is for a plant. And in Ukraine we have Nova Post that delivers overnight or faster, still. Bringing them from a shops is no better (imagine Alocasia on a wind). But nothing can stop us 🤪 exept space and money.
Great question! Apoballis can be resilient but isn’t quite as bounce-back-hardy as Fittonia. It’s a bit more tolerant, though! And wow, sounds like shipping plants is as much a journey for us as it is for them. 😅🌱 Space and budget are definitely our real limitations! 🌍💚
Totally understand! The beauty of the heleniae is almost worth the risk, but sometimes it’s just easier to wait till they’re more accessible locally. Glad you enjoyed seeing it in the video! 🌱💚
Anthurium and Hoya are 100000% the best shippers for me! Never had an issue with those
Absolutely agree! 🌱 Anthurium and Hoya are the travel pros of the plant world! So glad they work well for you too. 😊
Yes i get the urges! I'm thinking ecuagenera to keep my autumn/winter blues at bay but trying so hard to resist

I never heard of the Anthurium Pinkeyi , it’s beautiful 😀🇨🇦
Thanks for the info on importing from Asian sellers!❤
Happy to help! Importing can be tricky, but knowing what to expect makes a difference. 😊 Thanks for watching! 🌱✨

Love that! 💚 Thanks for the anthurium cross fun fact-it's amazing how plants have their own "lineage" order. Luxurians truly does take its time! 😊🌱
Memo, you are an absolute fount of UA-cam video ideas! 💚🪴💚

@@Houseplantygoodness Oh, that's a 100% yes on a collaboration 😁

I'm sure Philo Rubrijuvenile is not on your list, that one doesn't even like moving rooms. 😂😂

@boopeepope56-ey5gz bought a pretty one with 5 leaves, drove to get it, fast forward they're all 5 gone now. 🥹🤣

The helleniae is pretty, but shipping from abroad is something I will probably never do
