I have to say the gen 1 buffer system was ok. But the Gen 2 with Vltor you have made a home run. I could not be happier with mine!
Thank you! This means a lot to hear, a lot of hardworking went into this partnership.
amazing, I need an A5 7 position tube with the longer spring and anti tilt buffer...... very very nice stuff man!
I don’t think people fully realize what this means in regards to managing recoil. It’s going to be huge.
Agreed, good sir!
Nice!
Thank you!
Wouldn't carrier tilt be more of an issue in a piston operated AR? I know with full auto that can be an issue but not really seeing how this would be a benefit for semi auto DI. I'd love to learn more about the specifics. Hopefully I'll come across one in the wild check it out.
That is a good point, but you still see unnecessary cavitation and movement on direct impingement platforms. By being able to control that, we are also controlling a form of recoil. The only general way to describe the action was to use the carrier tilt reference. If you have any other questions regarding our platforms please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly, have a great day!
@@CobaltKinetics thank you for the response. Always love learning the little things and how the add to the big picture.
Will they be available for purchase? When, where and how much?
Yes! I want to upgrade my current cobalt pro buffer to try this one out. The buffer that came with my recent pro rifle is already the best I've ever used.
What is the difference between a5ck vs your prior pro buffer besides length of the A5 tube? Will you offer different buffer weights?
There are a few changes that can be seen in the video like; aluminum construction of the buffer, the anti-tilt/ pre-load plug, and the length of the buffer body.
Do these work with BCGs like Radian or Azimuth that have the anti-tilt mass designs as well?
Your website brags about the "Cobalt Pro Buffer System", but this doesn't appear to be it. Your Professional rifle has a 5 position buffer tube, not the 7 position shown here. So... where is the video on the Cobalt Pro Buffer System?
As we speak we are working on updating our website. As we focused on our platform for most of the year there were certain changes that have not been updated on the website. Also, the buffer system that we currently have was designed in conjunction with the makers of the A5 system. We worked directly with their engineers to update their design with our specifications to deliver a smoother running system. We are the only ones that our Capable of running this updated system. With the design input that our engineers gave it produces a smooth running platform, and that is something that we can definitely stand behind. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly, thank you!
So this buffer needs a special retainer pin because of the pre load system? Can it fit in any lower reciver?
How do we get that cool FN paint on our guns?
Is this available to buy yet? I don't see it on your website. Thanks
Who makes that brace or stock cover on that AR?
What’s the difference between the cobalt kinetic a5 and the a5h2 buffer that I can buy off firearm depot or vltor website?
The video explains that difference, my good man. Also, Firearms Depot is a great website. Not only are they dealers of our products, but they are great folks. Any business that can go their way is awesome to see!
