Although, the guy who sent this campaign deserves some recognition - he managed to create an army strong enough to win the game with minimal reinforcements.
His army compositions were terribad though? It's legends skill that won the campaign.
Good point, and through his aggresive play he did manage to take out the pope and some other factions too!

Wow, Legendoftotalwar actually carried on and got out of debt and finished with nearly 160k in the bank and , so stunned were the Egyptians that they just gave him Jerusalem. That last turn in debt and the desperate destruction of buildings to buy one peasant in London. Cheers and thanks for 4 episodes of sheer entertainment. Epic!
that was infuriating. XD He could have just left capital in Dijon and lowered the taxes in Toledo. XD My inner perfectionist backseat gamer was in pain especially since he opened the Toledo City tab several times. =D True Entertainment.
@@Konterfeit Toledo is a castle so the taxes are set at normal and you can't lower them, otherwise I am sure legend would have done that.

Florian Schönbächler I don’t know anyone who has completed that on legendary total war campaign keeping Christianity intact with pre-nerf corruption but there is a mod to restore it I think
This may be the best M2TW campaign ever played, I think it's possible someone else could do the Blitz campaign equally well but I'm not sure anyone could do this in anywhere close to the (real life) time legend did it and with anything like the ease he did it with. That was just amazing.
you can beat this easy if you start abusing the blitz glitches. There is a glitch were you can win a settlement assault without even fighting. The ai just walks outside the settlement while under siege and you get it. It is a glitch legend was unware of (or still is). Doing this with the propper timing you could theoretically get full map dominations with 80 ish units and 20-40 ish turns (also abusing the movement glitches). Remember when you take all cities a faction goes rebel and will most likely not attack anymore. If they do send a single unit back and recapture.
I do agree that legend is one of the best players at medieval 2 (and most total wars for that matter) and one of very few that could get out of this mess.

This 4 video series was really epic!!! I saw him saving campaigns from a single settlement but this case was really special. He couldn't hire any military unit or build anything to make money or increase public order until pay that hugeeee debt!!! Now he has another motto i guess. @LegendofTotalWar always pays his debt! :) Cheers !!

holy crap this is one of the most interesting series I've seen on med 2. just the fact that your constantly dwindling in troops and having to make due with minimal resources made this both impressive and fun to watch.
Super happy to see you did a final episode to completely fix the budget and win the campaign, this was a really entertaining series

@@jeanduhamel9101 C'est le franglais que je trouve laid, l'intonation de la voix aussi. On ne pouvait pas demander ça pour un jeu vidéo mais de ce que je sais le vieux français a un accent particulier et plaisant.

Thank you so much for making a nice addendum to this campaign! Was really curious to see how it ends. I had also never seen a debt as big as that, only when I messed about with cheats and fucked up my economy lol. Cant believe you actually made it back from that!
Edit: just watching you fix up the whole empire once you finally had money again was immensely satisfying to watch!

Defeating the ports, Spain, french, and Scotland is the farthest I’ve gone. The farther in the game I go the more chaotic my army’s are 😭, which just makes me quit and start a new one.

This whole series has been incredibly confusing. Instead of sending wave after wave of peasants until your enemies capitulate, you send in your generals, kings, and rulers to do the dirty work. It's kinda funny when 100 well armored horsey knights take over an entire city.

Way late watching this but truly impressive from the debt to the richest only person I know that could do it the legend himself
i have to keep this channel in mind if i ever get in a hard bind on a game one of the worse campaigns i ever got was i owned 2/3 of the map in rome 2 just shy of the victory but i was under attack from most of the factions left (thankfully they disliked each other still ) i had slave revolts every turn and i just got a civil war going and i was starting to lose money fast becuse my money makers was either sacked by the slaves or turned on me or about to be taken by the other factions i managed to pull through barely
''oh they actually released my prisoners ? oh well . i wouldn't have given them the same courtesy. '' haha classic legend.

Legend, have you ever played H2H campaigns? It would be interesting to see you play that. I don't even like to play SP in TW games, but for some reason I find it fascinating to watch you play and explain some of the game mechanics. You are truly a master at exploiting the AI's weaknesses, lol.
I so goddamn hated those fucking inquisitors. But you can kill them like any other agent, surround them, and then put a unit on their tile and bye bye inquisitors. I'd even train several units for just that purpose. I never allow rebels, priests of other faiths, heretics or inquisitors on my land. Goddamn cockroaches the lot of them. Securing my nation takes precedence over crushing foreign enemies.
Edit: These campaigns are really interesting, but what pushes your videos over the edge is the commentary like in 1:25:46 - :D

When he was like I'm going to sail down to Jerusalem, I was thinking not with all those nations at war with you and that puny navy unmolested you're not , it's hard enough to cross large spans of oceans with a tiny navy during peacetime because of rebels xD.
