Such great rocking out on such basic instruments reminds me how little we need to really put together a great musical performance. Really dug Rob's singing in this as well.
Nelson Blake II tbf, they are probably running them through amps that cost more than all three shown models and the toy drumkit put together haha. But agreed, music is about having fun as much ans anything. Tonechasing may be fun on its own, but it really isn't the be all and end all.
since no one in the comments is talking about the guitars...I have been playing 14yrs now and had a Jackson minion V for 2 months at this time and I adore the thing. so I put on 11-52 and sanded the nut slots to fit the strings and the guitar stays in tune so well I have to diss my Gibson studio and a Gretsch bother guitars cost atleast $500 and the minion performs better than both high end guitars. my only complaint is that the pickups are a bit muddy. why would a 27yr old buy a kids guitar? because I have shoulder problems and back issues that make it hard to play sitting or standing for a long period. so a shorter guitar specifically the v shape, is perfect for sitting as well as standing with almost no pain at all.
But something else no one is talking about in comments is the damn weight init? How can a 10 or 12 year old play a 10 pound weight guitar comfortably ,or even an adult unless you have forearms like chappers lol
Out of the Box I would say these pickups are better for rock / metal distortion. The clean tones on these are pretty muddy and lackluster 😎 But definitely a great guitar for an adult with small hands !!💪
Hell yeah, man, I love Jackson guitars. I'm definitely interested in picking up one of these, and that's saying a lot, since I usually never even think about buying another guitar.
I own one of those mini Rhoads in white. Previous owner slapped some locking tuners on, replaced the pots with CTS made ones and put a SD Invader in the bridge. Owned it for almost a year now. The nut is starting to go, but that's to be expected from a cheap plastic nut. For those interested. A set of Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky's(.11 - . 54) is the heaviest I used (the lower E barely fits the tuners) and with that, it can handle Cb Standard. Lower if you don't mind a little flabbiness.
Man, I couldn’t understand why all of the suggested videos next to this were all kiddies videos until I realised it’s because you used the word Minions in your title! Thanks chaps!!
The “Andertones” of course! What else! Nicely done gentlemen. I think you guys could play a crate, a cigar box with strings, and a wash tub, and it would sound great.
Would be nice if you 3 guys played together more often . (In the same vein of the Phil X sessions he used to do.) Be fun to hear you play some rock/blues numbers.
There is a smile on my face a mile wide! Cool Cool Cool... You guys rock. I want more! I want an American tour!.... Oh yeah..... Rabea was definitely feelin' it!
A. More band jams! B. The stock Jackson pickups sound killer. C. Maybe a little more with bass? I feel like I didn’t hear it properly or something. It sounded great on the end jam!
About time you got around to showing these off! My daughter already has one now though, she chose the neon orange Dinky Minion. Those Rhoads shape ones would be awesome but I wouldn't expect them to stay "as new" condition for very long. Just look at used full sized versions, they are nearly all chipped and dented at the pointy ends. If most adults can't look after them properly then what chance do kids have! I agree with the Captains age assessment though, 7-8 is probably about right. My daughter is only 6 and she finds hers is a bit heavy still, although it does sit well on her lap compared the Squier Mini Strat' which kept slipping off. She currently plays a similar size Rockburn branded electric guitar which after some TLC from myself plays really well and is so much lighter than her Minion. Actually, I've just remembered I recently weighed our guitars: Jackson RR JS32T: 2.8 kgs / 6.2 lbs Jackson Dinky Minion: 2.4 kgs / 5.29 lbs Rockburn S-type: 1.87 kgs / 4.12 lbs I'd also like to say that the Jackson Dinky Minion official gigbag is well worth the money, much better than the Jackson multi-fit one I have for my Rhoads.
Y'all look like me playing my daughter's Squier mini Strat. It's kind of amusing to see an adult use tiny things. OTOH, it warms my hear to see her practicing and learning and getting better every time she picks it up. I want to take it for a fret dressing (because there are some burrs along the neck) but I can't figure out a good time that she'll be gone to have it done.
There was a discussion about using heavier strings, or tuning up to accommodate the short scale length. My opinion is that if this is for younger players, a softer feel makes it easier to play. If I were buying this for a 10-year-old, I'd leave it with 9s or 10s.
Bea: BEST. DRUM. FACES. EVER. Awesome vid, those things kill. Perfect timing for me as I am shopping for a kid sized axe for a client's kid. They look amazing. Thought I only had the Ibanez mini PGM and the Squire Mini Strat to choose from but now Jackson to the rescue! :D
I'm an adult thinking of buying a smaller guitar for my nephew, My mockingbird is waaay too big for him, my prs is waaay too big for him, he can barely reach the strings on my acoustic, but he wants to learn, and I would love to teach him! I'm also thinking one of these would be ideal if he quits just for a bit of a laugh for me... And yes Rob I was genuinely thinking bareknuckles before I even knew this jackson series existed... I was also thinking of upgrading all the hardware, and busting it out on gigs! But honestly a little V would look great on him, who knows maybe I'll get 2, just in case he does stick with it!😜
Pete is like "Whats up, fellow young people?"
If I don't go out into the garage and see my 6 year old and his friends rocking out on this equipment I'm selling the kids and keeping their gear.
Now that's a dad!!!
Doooooo eeeeet!!!!!
More vids with Bea playing drums!!! 🤘
Understandingly tempting.... but no- anything that distracts him from getting more Toska recorded is to be eliminated! ;)
More jams like this please
I know the outro was a bit of messing around, but if you could do it ore often it would be awesome
What did you tag this as? The whole suggested video thing is full of baby videos haha
Scriptosaurus rex lol "10 hours of relaxing baby music"
Will Anderson much prefer it if the suggestion were '10 hours of relaxing grindcore', but basically you are getting the same kind of suggestions!
I thought it was just me... 😂😂😂
i think it's because they used the word Minions.
benjo12345100 It will be the search tags they added. If it was just because of the word minions, most of the videos would be despicable me type stuff.
Telling the unloved child to pick up a bass is just adding insult to injury...
Jaagg lmaaooo 😂
Can you say, "Jan Brady."
It could be worse. Lee could sell them accordions.
Rabea looks like he's having a nervous breakdown when he plays drums.
exactly that!
Probably having a seizure looking at what Pete is wearing
Maniacs do well in drums.
That’s how you should always look like if you play drums 😂
ever see Animal playing drums ?
I'm not a kid. I'm an old guy (50) and I bought one of these to play in my little condo in Thailand. Perfect.
This is soo great, I love rabeas drumming face 😂😂😂
2:53 *random blast beat hahahah
i'm not sure about anyone else but i think that these kind of full band demos are epic and you should absolutely do more of them in future!
Dudes when does the album drop? Such talent should be seen/heard worldwide. Thx for the laugh from across the pond
Such great rocking out on such basic instruments reminds me how little we need to really put together a great musical performance. Really dug Rob's singing in this as well.

im loving this cream reunion

So, would you recommend this for an adult to use it?
@@reyjuarez807Yep, I have 3 of the RR minions in the flourescent colors
But something else no one is talking about in comments is the damn weight init? How can a 10 or 12 year old play a 10 pound weight guitar comfortably ,or even an adult unless you have forearms like chappers lol
The guys at Andertons are the nicest staff I’ve ever met at a music shop. Genuinely helpful and patient, unlike some other stores! Cheers fellas!
You guys have to bring Rabea in on drums for the cross-cut jams more often!
Million Percent agree
MORE LIKE THIS PLEASE
I love watching you guys play and talk about guitars. Always a pleasure.
Call it Bandertons or im unsubbing tbh
Cameron Tyson count me in
or Banterdons
The Andertones
Love the shirt, Pete!
I was called the enemy in a music shop today because I was wearing an Andertons tee shirt. How cool is that. 😂 great intro chaps.
And the bad reputation of music shop employees continues lol
Bullet In The Head riff at the beginning nice :)
Fuukana-TV THANK YOU. I knew it was RATM but for the life of me couldn’t place the song! Drove me crazy!
Sure it's Bryan Adams Run To You
Out of the Box I would say these pickups are better for rock / metal distortion. The clean tones on these are pretty muddy and lackluster 😎
But definitely a great guitar for an adult with small hands !!💪
The beginning of this video was the funniest/most awesome thing I’ve seen you guys do in a while. It was awesome to see you guys jam out
Picked myself up a Minion bass shortly after seeing this vid in 2018...2022 and still going strong, never goes out of tune and just thumps.
That was a fun video. Loved the jams.
Hell yeah, man, I love Jackson guitars. I'm definitely interested in picking up one of these, and that's saying a lot, since I usually never even think about buying another guitar.
Guitars like this are so important, really amazing the next generation can start off young with affordable and smaller scale guitars. Awesome.
Danish Pete representing “That Pedal Show.” Love it!
I own one of those mini Rhoads in white. Previous owner slapped some locking tuners on, replaced the pots with CTS made ones and put a SD Invader in the bridge.
Owned it for almost a year now. The nut is starting to go, but that's to be expected from a cheap plastic nut.

Best intro ever with the best drum faces
*suggestion*
You should play at a local school with those Jackson's to try and get kids to play proper music.
Mike Rotch that's a fantastic suggestion, Mr. Hugh Janus.
Ilian Petit Hugh Janus who dafuq is that?
Mike Rotch just a joke man ^^
Ilian Petit I'm not laughing taking the piss out of someone's surname is very childish
Mike Rotch wait, it's not your actual name is it ?
Yeah man! I wanna go all five semi tone bends, too!!! \m/
Bea really makes the best of that minimal drumset. He's a surprisingly good drummer.
Definitely the best video ever!!
Love Rabea's Tool shirt!
The intro jam was awesome! I loved the way it turned into Bullet in the head by Rage Against The Machine!
Bea's face while drumming cracked me up.
Man, I couldn’t understand why all of the suggested videos next to this were all kiddies videos until I realised it’s because you used the word Minions in your title! Thanks chaps!!
This video was incredibly helpful. I just picked up a Dinky Minion for my son and it's a really good guitar.
so tempted to pick one of these up. ive got a set of locking tuners and a set of old emgs that need a home. would be a sweet couch guitar
I'm just impressed with how much awesome that drummer can get out of that kit!
Who needs more than a snare, bass drum, and hi-hat!! Kika$$
The “Andertones” of course! What else! Nicely done gentlemen. I think you guys could play a crate, a cigar box with strings, and a wash tub, and it would sound great.
I bought my 9 y this one in black. It is great.
Please, everyone state what number person you were to watch the video. It's absolutely fascinating and adds a great deal to the conversation.
FYI I was 459th
540🖕🏻
585
🤣🤣🤣
531
I love the full band thing for the audio clips/demos. I personally thing you guys should do more of that.
Rebea’s face at 0:31 🤣 “yeah I rule the drum game” 😂
That jam in the end was the BEST THING EVER! 😂😂😂😂
Would be nice if you 3 guys played together more often . (In the same vein of the Phil X sessions he used to do.) Be fun to hear you play some rock/blues numbers.
Oh Boi. The prototype overdrive/distortion sounds amazing ♾
That was freaking awesome gents! May be the best one yet. I love those little guitars.
Awesome video guys! Keep doing the band thing! It was ace
One of the best Andertons has done! Great work Gents!!
There is a smile on my face a mile wide! Cool Cool Cool... You guys rock. I want more! I want an American tour!.... Oh yeah..... Rabea was definitely feelin' it!
This might be my favourite EVER Andertons video.
Jackson Guitars. Making amazing guitars since the 80s and onward
A. More band jams! B. The stock Jackson pickups sound killer. C. Maybe a little more with bass? I feel like I didn’t hear it properly or something. It sounded great on the end jam!
The captain Andertons lonely heartsclub band !!! you should do that more, it's great to hear you guys jamming and having fun.
Best vid ever. That outro was epic lads, well done.
Speaking of small guitars I'd love to see the Ibanez RGM55 back in production!
Pete raising his gauntlet of rock to the gods, was epic!
What an epic jam, Rabea has such a good feel for the drums. My girl and I love DP
DP? This is a family channel!
I definitely want to grab a couple of these a quest love drum kits and a couple huge friends and go play some gigs
More of the 4-piece Anderband!
Richard Bartlett *3 piece
haydenjamessdmf Pete was playing bass too?

Fenrir thanks for the info, getting my son one of these minions
I have the same Tool shirt that Rabea's wearing lol.
Nice band, guys. Arguably Chapman's blusiest performance. The Jacksons are killer. Cheers.
Why must you all be so talented!
Y'all look like me playing my daughter's Squier mini Strat. It's kind of amusing to see an adult use tiny things. You guys are growing at a phenomenal rate. The guitars look so tiny in your hands these days!
Jackson...still the best brand of guitars i've ever tried!!! 🤘🤘🤘
I've got a cheap short scale guitar on my couch... It's nice to just noodle around on a bit while watching TV
Great jam at the End Bloody Fableeeus !!! well done little tinkers :)
That intro was flipping awesome! Rock on hahaha!!
I would love for Rob to cover more songs, his voice is great!
Pretty cool as a travel guitar or bass as well!
I'm really thinking about picking up one of these little guys. I have a really bad back. So one of these will come in handy.
I need to hear more of this power trio with the Afro Bro funky drummer!
Best Andertons episode to date!!! Please do more jams at the end
Wow. Bea is an open-handed drummer. That looks so cool !
Absolutely fantastic
Please do this kind of jams more often please ! 🖤

Rabeea plays sick drums! Had no idea!
Best video they’ve made all year!
GREATEST INTRO JAM EVER

That rocked.. They should have Rabea on the drums more often!!!
Im actually saving up for the Bass. Though it seems quite small, I think it will make up for that with it's sound and playability.
That Intro... you three are the perfect punk rock band 😂
I was unaware that Rabea playing mini-drums was a thing. But now that I know, I think we can all agree that we need more of it.
Those drums... that is probably going to break the internet..
Look like 3 giants of rock at the end. Amazing. 😂😂😂
Really wish Rabea could play more drums... He's got such a cool style, both visually and sonically.
Love y guys thanks for make my life more happy!
I can get Jacksons for my kids? Duck yeah!
