Meet the enchanting Tundra Swan! Its majestic presence and beauty are rivaled only by the endurance it shows in migrating thousands of miles to the remote northern reaches of Alaska, its breeding and nesting grounds. This footage of nesting Tundra Swans comes from a Cornell Lab expedition deep into America's Arctic. The Department of the Interior recently introduced new regulations that designate a staggering 13 million acres within the National Petroleum Reserve in Alaska for protection. This means we're not just preserving the breathtaking Tundra Swan and its habitat; we're also securing this precious land for future generations. Your voice matters! This is one of my favorite series' to watch on all of youtube. Absolutely love it
I live in Washington State and see them every year. We are on the Pacific Flyway, and get Tundra and Trumpeter Swans, as well as Snow Geese coming through.
Thanks to my trusty and deeply appreciated Cornell Lab Merlin app, I identified the song of the tundra Swan on this frigid January night on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I live along the Chester river, which is connected to the Chesapeake Bay. I heard tundra swans, late at night last year here as well. I’m puzzled as to why I would hear them on the US Mid Atlantic Coast in January…because they are passing through…I don’t think they live here, although… Maybe they do? to be explored. Perhaps they are wintering here.

Looks like the Trumpeter Swans I see in Lake Ontario, only these have a yellow mark on the beak to make them distinct. 🟡
