He's been uncritically venerated in every grad school philosophy class I've ever taken. Therefore, I am impressed that Ms. Hill presented another way of looking at his cultural impact. It is hard when we 'meet" our heroes and discover there are flaws in their thinking. I just had this kind of conversation with one of my daughters about Voltaire's anti-Semitism.

And, I read this as provocative not to make people angry but to challenge viewers at the core of their understanding of Aristotle. Asking people to take a more nuanced view of someone as widely revered as Aristotle is asking for a big shake up of conventional wisdom. I don't think she would argue that Aristotle should be forgotten. I think she is saying there's more to the story than most people know. That was certainly true for me.
