I was studying in grade 5 during this explosion, my school is situated 5 kms away from badarmude, we were in class and suddenly we heard a noise similar to a tile being broken as the roof were made from mud tiles (khapeta), After half an hour we were told that there will be school leave, on my way back i saw hordes of ambulances on their way to the accident scene. I found out about the explosion later on. It was a brutal incident. My relative sister died in the explosion. Our family is still scarred to this day, no justice has been done to the victims yet.

चितवन, फाल्गुन १९ - बाँदरमुढे घटनाका पीडितले एमाओवादी अध्यक्ष पुष्पकमल दाहालले द्वन्द्वको घाउ बल्झाएर आफूहरूलाई फुटाउन खोजेको आरोप लगाएका छन् । दाहालले बिहीबार माडी महोत्सव उद्घाटन क्रममा पीडितलाई ६० लाख रुपैयाँ प्याकेज निकासा गरिएको घोषणा गरेका थिए । प्याकेज अपुरो भएको बताउँदै पीडितले विरोध गरेका हुन् ।
उनले सशस्त्र द्वन्द्वकालमा पार्टीद्वारा गराएको बाँदरमुढे घटना युद्धको नियमविपरीत भएको बताए । तर दोषीलाई कारबाही हुने निश्चित गरेनन् । उनले संघर्ष समिति अध्यक्षसमक्ष रकम बुझ्न भनेपछि पीडित झन् आक्रोशित बने । 'राहत समितिको नाममा पठाएर हुँदैन,' बाँदरमुढे घटना पीडित समिति अध्यक्ष मुक्तिनाथ न्यौपानेले भने, 'हामीलाई फुटाउने षड्यन्त्र हो ।' उनले स्थानीय विकास मन्त्री टोपबहादुर रायमाझीले फोन गरेर समितिको कुन शीर्षकमा पैसा पठाउने हो भनेर सोधेका र दोहोरो कुरा गर्न नपाउँदै फोन राखेको बताए ।
दाहालको घोषणापछि पीडितले फोन गरेर पैसा कहिले बाँड्ने हो भन्दै सोध्ने गरेको बताए । विवाद र न्याय नपुग्ने भएकाले पैसा आफूले नबुझ्ने न्यौपानेले बताए । प्रशासनले जम्मा गरेर पैसा बाँड्नुपर्ने पीडितले बताए । दाहालले पीडितबीच फाटो ल्याउने काम गरेको भन्दै उनीहरू आक्रोशित बनेका हुन् । 'दाहालले ६० लाख बाँड्ने भनेर हामीबीच झगडा गराउने काम गरे,' पीडित समितिका उपाध्यक्ष कृष्ण अधिकारीले भने, 'दाहालले पैसा दिने भनेर राजनीति गर्न खोजे ।' उनले प्रशासनमार्फत आउनुपर्ने राहतलाई पीडित अध्यक्षमार्फत उपलब्ध गराउने भन्दै झगडा गराउन खोजेको आरोप लगाए ।
दाहाल आउनु अघिल्लो दिन पीडितलाई भेटेर एमाओवादी माडी इन्चार्ज बासु सापकोटा र ५ नम्बर क्षेत्र इन्चार्ज मधुसुधन सापकोटाले माग फाँटवारी भरेर मृतकलाई १ लाख, गम्भीर घाइतेलाई ६० हजार र सामान्य घाइतेलाई १० हजार दिने भन्दै टिपेर लगेका थिए । रकम शान्ति तथा पुनर्निर्माण मन्त्रालयमार्फत प्रशासनमा बुझ्ने भन्दै गएका थिए । तर अध्यक्ष दाहालले संघर्ष समिति अध्यक्षमार्फत बुझ्ने भनेपछि पीडितहरू आक्रोशित बनेका हुन् ।
निमित्त प्रजिअ शिवराम गेलालले भने पीडितले रकम पाउने भन्ने कुरा माडीमा गएपछि मात्र थाहा पाएको बताए । 'हामीलाई अहिलेसम्म केही जानकारी आएको छैन,' गेलालले भने, 'हामीले पनि माडीबाटै थाहा पाएका हौं ।' उनले कागजी रूपमा समेत केही नआएको बताए । बारम्बार बाँदरमुढे घटनाका पीडितले गर्दा माडी आउने कार्यक्रम रद्द गर्दै आएका थिए । बिहीबार उनी हेलिकप्टरमा आए । बाँदरमुढे घटनामा ३९ जनाको मृत्यु भएको थियो । १ जना बालकको भने सनाखत भएको थिएन । त्यस्तै पछि ३ जनाको उपचारका क्रममा मृत्यु भयो । त्यस्तै १२ जना घाइते छन् । कोही ओछ्यान परिरहेका छन् भने कोही बैसाखीको सहारामा हिँडडुल गर्छन्् । २ जना घाइतेले मानसिक रोगको औषधि सेवन गर्दै आएका छन् ।
