- 12 Nepali were ki**ed by Iraqi Sunni insurgent group, Jamaat Ansar al-Sunna in IRAQ. Moonlight Consultancy Private Limited, company based in Nepal, recruited twelve Nepalis to work in Amman, Jordan as chefs, cleaners and builders for Jordanian businesses. On 19 August 2004, they were transported to Iraq by a caravan using the Amman-Baghdad Highway. The same day they were k*dnapped by an Iraqi Sunni ins*rgent group, Jamaat Ansar al-Sunna. On 20 August, the group released a video of the h*stages which showed them begging for their lives and blaming Pralhad Giri of Moonlight Consultants for their abd*ction; the media was aired by various Nepali channels. On 23 August, the Government of Nepal made a plead via the Al Jazeera television channel, however, Nepali diplomats were unable to contact the k*dnappers. The Nepali government also wrote to the Iraqi government, nevertheless, on 31 August at 6 pm, television channels broadcast pictures of the de*d b*dies of 12 Nepalis.
This day was one of the black day in the history of Nepal.

As far as we can tell, the killers threw the bodies in the desert and never returned it to the families. That just shows how angry they were with America and how cruel they were acting.

My dad was also in Iraq at that time and when the kidnapping news was aired we couldn’t hold our tears, I still remember my mom and my grandma were unconscious and grandpa couldn’t hold his tears. I was crying my sister was crying, I’m 25 now and I still remember that black day.
There wasn’t any cell phone, mobile to contact directly so we received a call from him couple of days after that he was safe and send us a recorded audio cassette that he was ok and told he missed us everyone.
He was also sad that those innocent people were murdered without any reason

Same here, I also didn't know the real issue behind this heart wrenching incident, was enlightened by this video , it was more saddening to learn how the 12 innocent boys were lured to their brutal death and how their families were deprived of saying their beloved sons their final goodbyes , the very thought that their bodies were left in the desert without a proper burial tears our hearts out ,can't imagine how the families are coping with their lives. God bless them !

Till now Nepalese Newspaper don't perform research about the job vacancy advertisers .
Few month ago me and my friend went for a job interview for job .
They took 500 as form charge from us and told us they will contact us later .
But when we asked about the advertisement that mentioned 100% job guaranteed ,they told us due to high number of applicants we are in the waiting list and they will contact us later . But even after months they didn't contact us and we assumed we got scammed .
Now my friend is flying to UAE for security .

I was too young when this happened but I got to see that video few years after the incident took place. I was too young to watch that. I could not sleep for nights. I still shake when I remember the acts done in the video. Almost two decade later and we are not improving our foreign policy and preference.

Was going to Amman city in Jordan country near iraq to work in hotel and restaurant any things just to works take all these long way. To feed there family and children to have money for family unfortunately they was must go to Jordan by through in iraq they go to Fallujah city in iraq the city's was dangerous full of jihad islamic territories the terrorist captured the 12 Nepals in street and i see the full video of interview and execution i feel very bad for the man who wears yellow tshirt how unfortunately he was speak little English the terrorist but on him American flag and make him like he is interpreter for America army and was not and he was the only one how gets beheaded the poor man didn't know what going to happend to him he just wants to do what the terrorist tell him he was afraid and scared he was innocent poor just want to go back home he didn't hurt any buddy he was just know little English he beheaded and also the 11 other how killed by gun feel very bad for them
