Charles is correct when he says the NFL just won't be the same without Calvin
Yes indeed
Miss those days.
canineee tuff I miss watching him so much. He was the only redeeming quality in being a Lions fan
Pouch King ikr bro so sad He is not in the NFL anymore 😔
Nah we got julio he’s better anyways
One word for this: Amazing.
Word!!!
2 words absolutely amazing
I was the 1.3rd thousand to like ur comment
Real recognizes Real
Aishik Palit that's some gay instagram highlight reel stuff right there
Oh grow up.
^to me? I just say that cuz this is a great relationship and im all in the moment about it, but then i see this bullshit. This usually goes along with a thousand fire emojis and a few wet emojis. He's trying to be cool and it pissed me off
Alex Landeros ? There are no fire or 'wet' emojis.
'gay Instagram highlight reel stuff'
What does that even mean?
Disappointed Knick's Fan it goes along with rap remixes, have you never seen these?
Peanut's voice is hella chill. Read me a story papa
Peanut could do tv or radio as a second career
@@salamanca1954 now he Is an FBI agent lol
@@SocratesSodiumJr really? thats awesome
@@DingProductions ya look it up he is 🐐
@@SocratesSodiumJr cool.
I'm mad because Calvin didn't get to enjoy at least one playoff win.
him and Barry both screwed by the lions
+Zuhkory absolutely. I wish that the Lions organization tried creating more talent around the both of them but it became evident that both Barry and Calvin's love of the game began to evaporate the longer they played and never made it to the playoffs (Barry atleast made came close afew times) but it obvious that they both were never making it sadly. I would do alot to see Megatron make a one last run with a different team to get a Superbowl under his belt because he deserves to be in the HOF. Unfortunately, the Lions already have his rights so he ain't being anything but a Detriot Lion.
TheSoundwave92 fuck
you. There is no other team then the Detroit lions that Calvin would be with. Look at our success this year. Imagine, if he stayed antihero year.
Another
Megatron Calvin he'd love to win a super bowl more then playing on a team that has never seen a super bowl
What a classy thing to do. We need more of that in the world.
Brady and class don't fit in one sentence
@@lightskamaraaction4687lol you don’t pay much attention then. Just a biased hater
I will miss both of these guys... Good luck in retirement#

I'M NOT CRYING, YOU'RE CRYING
I ain't dough....
Kyle yeah your a human
Who's cutting all these onions?!?!
That's not onions, it's soy. Men don't cry over a game.
@@Thomas-xe3ce we got hard boy #1 here
Thomas god you’re pretentious
@NothingGandProd Love your comment 😂😂
@@Thomas-xe3ce wow this is a cringe reply.
Lions fan here.....
That was a really classy and cool thing of Peanut to do. Both players were great. And will be missed. Real examples of how the game should be played. Best wishes and health to both in retirement.
This reminds me of a story about how Peyton Manning used to write handwritten letters to players he admired who had just retired thanking them for their contribution to the game of football... This was great to watch and listen to!
It's 2019, and I'm naming the divas we have right now. SMH... Megatron and Larry are the REAL example of football players. All talent, no talk!
Donald driver as well.
Julio and hopkins are also class acts, AB and Odell are not the whole NFL
Andre Johnson, Roddy White, and Torry Holt
Aj green?
Mike Evans. You will never hear a word from him. And agreed on Julio and Hopkins as well.
Im a massive Charles Tillman fan, gotta love the dude. The respect. This was my favorite matchup growing up. Was fantastic. 2 absolute beasts.
Tillman and Calvin are both class acts.
Nothing like those ignorant packer players...
RedX165 Bears fan much?
RedX165 mad?
RedX165 Ignorant Packer players? Who, Brett Favre?
al harris was the dirtiest corner ive ever seen i reckon hahahaha
Joe Mama does that make Charles Woodson tramon Williams Sam shields mike McKenzie nick collins Darren sharper all dirty as well. Or what about clay Matthews aj hawk nick Barnett Desmond Bishop Blake Martinez Cullen Jenkins Ryan Pickett mike Daniels bj raji Kenny Clark. All class acts, all great defensive players for the pack
From a Bears fan to Megatron - Thank you for all the great games!
I could say the same back to Peanut. Loved his knack for the ball and humbleness.
Didn’t know this would bring a tear to my eye. Such a humble dude with immense talent.
This is awesome! I respect Charles Tillman. Only Bear I liked
Ryan Palmer you don't like William perry? Richard Dent? Mike Ditka? No other bears?
SparkleGirl Walter Peyton
connor Cassidy yeah I forgot him
I also respect Ditka and Payton
assuming he meant modern bears
Why do all the godly players go to detroit, im jealous af. Herman moore, Barry Sanders, now Calvin? Woww.
Because we always get the first round pick!
god bless
lmao good one
Abrahim Taha yea im a lions fan but honestly its too bad their talent was wasted on such a crappy team
Abrahim Taha Then again, they've never won a super bowl and the last championship they won was 1957 and are the only team to go 0-16 (although they could be joined by the Browns by the end of the year) so it's only fair.
Two class acts. Two legends. Stay classy Calvin. Amazing letter by peanut!
That's hands down one of the best and most respectful letters i heard in my life man. Strong words from peanut to one of the best that ever played the game 🙏
That was always such a fun matchup to watch. Probably the best physical receiver ever going up against probably the best physical corner ever. Every inch was fought for tooth and nail by both guys, and each of them had their victories. And you couldn't find two other guys that played the game more like it's supposed to be played. Nothing but respect for the opponent and the game. Just making plays and going back to the huddle.
I will never forget the peanut punch and I will never forget Calvin Johnsons mossing ability.
Calvin is the best no questions asked. Sincerely an Odell super fan
My reaction might be late but I'm a Big Bear fan and this rivalry was one of the Best, much respect to both players👍🐹🆙
Damn, we're gonna miss you Calvin. It went by too fast.
Reminds me of Barry was so clearly most gifted and freakish player on the field but if you talked to him you wouldn’t even know he’s a superstar because they know actions speak louder than any word than can be spoken
I'm suprised no one was talking peanut Tillman retiring
SparkleGirl He was a scrub
McKaylee lyx you're dumb
why so salty dude? like to see proof of you doing 0.1% of what these two great men did in their life time.
Peanut was a hall of famer in my eyes, just as Calvin was too
@@hallokity123 A "scrub" that was the only one to play Calvin effectively and threaten his bid for most receiving yards in a season and is 6th all-time in FF, the highest DB on the list and the only non-pass rusher in the top 10.
That's real shit. Takes the best to bring the best out of you.
The 64 dislikes are all from the corners and safeties that Megatron destroyed
Best Receiver I saw in my lifetime..
Players retire all the time but there are those select few that have touched so many that it has a lasting impact.. when charles woodson retired the amount of players and coaches that praised him was astonishing.
Detroit basically have the Best WR of All Time and the Best RB of all time Barry Sanders..... Bottom Line...
Minus the "basically." They were definitively the best at their positions.
I would take Walter over Sanders but both are all time greats.
If there’s one thing you’re right on, it’s that Calvin Johnson was the def the goat wr
I did not know Jerry rice and Walter Payton played for Detroit 🤔
They wasted their talents in Detroit. Its so sad seeing talents like them go ringless
I tell u folks ive never seen a reciver in my lifetime with more god given ability than calvin Johnson
Tillman is such a class act! Loved both of these guys and so sad to see them go!
It is the biggest tragedy in NFL history that we didn't even get half the amount of Calvin Johnson that we should have got!!
I miss them both football isn’t the same Calvin Johnson pretty much changed the catch rule
Wasnt his fault though. Just a victim of circumstance
Gave me the chills. 2 of the best athletes this league has ever seen
this made me tear up
I doubly cried during this. Partly because it was so heartwarming, partially because it again reminds me of how my team wasted yet another once in a generation talent.
Ray Perez I didn’t cry but I got goosebumps
Dear Calvin,
On the behalf of my city,we're sorry we screwed you over during and after your career.
Still,I'm glad to have seen you play for 4 seasons before you retired.
I enjoyed seeing you bail out my team every Sunday.
I'm very glad you inspired our QB to do better after you left.
You're a freak of nature, and I'm glad that you were part of the team I,for some reason, support still to this very day.
God bless you,Megatron.
-Me,a Detroit Lions/Tamba Bay Bucs fan
this was honestly beautiful
Am I the only one who can watch this over and over again and not find it boring?
I've watched it 4 times in the past couple days. Gonna watch it again I think.
I watched this about 9 times already
Love it when a high quality player is showing respect for his opponent 👍
Megatron. Truly one of a kind
This is what you call respect right here. I always thought highly of Charles Tillman. I now respect him as a great MAN and athlete. They do NOT make them like this anymore.
Made me proud to tell people I was a Lions fan for those years. I will always be proud but I was excited every Sunday for this man!
Congrats on your 2021 HOF Megatron!
We miss u ! Megatron!! 🐐
Brought a tear. Mad respect and love for both of these great men
Sad to see one of last receivers that wasn't a prima Donna go. He played the game humble, with passion, and the way it was supposed to be played.
Thank you Calvin.
PRIMITIVE Larry is still ballin
PRIMITIVE Julio still ballin
AJ green still in his prime g
We still have Larry Julio and AJ
Deandre
What a battle these two would have. Sad to see two of the greats gone, but glad I got to see them play each other. Awesome video!
This is so touching. Gonna miss both Megatron and Peanut.
Could watch this over and over. Very classy. Was a lot of fun watching them battle. Tillman's first rivalry was Moss. Between Johnson and Moss he had his hands full several times a year.
This is why we love it, and a lot of people dont understand. Those of us who were fortunate enough to know the root of what this man is speaking to, are the ones who have laced up.
Wow that's a beautiful tribute blessing me peanut tillman
that was heartwarming.
1. God damn, Charles Tillman has a calming voice, like damn, he needs to do audiobooks and 2. FUCK THAT WAS EMOTIONAL
Really trying to figure out why 63 dislike this video. How does a man show respect of this level get disrespected like that? Bears fans, Packers fans, Lions fans, Vikings fans all know the truth about these two players...
You know you leave an impact when someone who’s only job when y’all played was to stop you speaks about you in such a manner.
Love the concept. Imagine Deion Sanders doing one for Jerry rice or Steve young for joe Montana when he took over the qb position. Chills
Joe Montana hated Steve Young 😂
tariq ramadan that’s why I think it would be great content. These two didn’t like each other either. Deion Sanders and Jerry rice didn’t like each other as well. It would be cool to hear each corners views on being on great teams
@@ojkilledmacdre yeah you right... It will definitely be great TV...
Love the respect. ❤❤❤
This man is fighting for gamers mental health and doesnt even realize it.
To quote the great Charles Tillman "While character will never make it to a highlight real, it's what made all those years defending you worth it".
Shroud is such a standup man and im so happy there's someone like him for a new generation to look up to.
He was like sorry and sorry again
Calvin''s most underrated skill was his character. He never made any noise, and all he ever did was play hard, every snap. In a world of Antonio Browns and Odell Beckhams (and yesteryear divas such as Rice, Moss, and T Owens), Calvin is proving himself to be the rarest receiver to ever live.
calion 9 Rice was far from a diva if you ever heard stories about him in the locker he had just the same competitive spirit and character as Johnson
You don't hear much out of Julio Jones either.
Wait did you just say Rice? as in Jerry Rice? you must have meant Ray Rice or Seniore Rice. Jerry Rice was the mold that made receivers including Calvin. Jerry Had enormous character and was extraordinarily humble. Go wash your mouth out.
@@eclectica1 yea cuz he never makes it on the end zone
Marvin Harrison.
By far one of my most favorite videos to watch in a long long time.
Bro, I'd be so grateful to Tillman for this; I'm sure Calvin Johnson is.
Someone needs to do one of these on Peanut.
Dude revolutionized the art of Forcing Fumbles
For 10years the Bears didn't have to worry about the CB position.
Until last year, when was the last time the bears had that stability at that position.
...and what's one of the things we really need right now? Yep - CB.
Kyle Fuller
@@jagerfromgsg945 yep,I liked Kyle's game. Peanut was a game changer.
I know you wrote this two years ago, but Jaylon Johnson is the real deal. If continues to improve and hone is craft he has a chance to be the best pure cover corner the Bears have ever had. I don't think this franchise has ever had a truly dominant pure cover corner (Peanut was good at that, but his dominance was more about the turnovers).
@@williamkoscielniak7871 Man I loved Peanut in the back, but you gotta admit: the front four (especially with Peppers) and having that constant Urlacher/Briggs roaming the middle did make it a little easier until it came from the big dudes (aka Megatron).
That was dope. Coming from a Packers fan.
The type of person who have to be to have someone who you played against and never with write something so meaningful about you says a lot about the person you are as well as them. Real recognize Real.
Charles Tillman might be one of the most underappreciated corners to have ever played in the national football league, the most forced fumbles And having the task to have to go up against men like these two times a year. The peanut punch will always be remembered.
Man what a great video. Love both these guys.
its been two years and we all still miss calvin crazy man
Man even tho my team is ass I still miss watching Calvin Johnson every Sunday
Gave me chills
this still rings true to this day!! thank you Peanut, and thank you Megatron.
I should be able to like this for everytime I come back and rewatch it.
Go pack go!
Both of these men should be in the HoF. Obviously Calvin will make it, but Peanut has put up a worthy case (in my view) for the HoF (he revolutionized the game, put up some of the most mind boggling stats any corner has put up, and was an underrated cover corner, as I'm sure Calvin Johnson would attest to)
EDIT - and while this has little to do with HoF, Peanut Tillman is one of the classiest and most sincerely decent, good human beings to play the game of football. He is truly a HoF human being. Calvin was also insanely classy, especially considering how utterly dominant he was. He was basically the Barry Sanders of Wide Receivers (in multiple ways).
Beautifully earned respect!!!!!
Best receiver to ever play the game of football no question
goodbye megatron

P.S- Sorry about Monday
Respect from auckland NZL
Beautifully put!
That was beautiful.
I wish he was still playing
I wasn’t expecting his voice to sound like this
Thank you Calvin. :(
this is honestly one of the sweetest things i’ve seen in sports😂😭
I feel like both these guys were severely underrated in their respective roles. I’m definitely going to miss watching Pat P go up against Calvin tho.
The Greatest receiver ever
I miss both of these players
who else had to keep rewatching this video
I've watched it 4 times now.
My favorite player of all time
Watching this video 6 years later.
*Chills*
Ultimate respect

Man this was a Great Video
Damn...that was dope asf
I really miss Calvin.
Did I just feel emotions?
This is great, I would love to hear his response!
Made me cry
Calvin Johnson was a mix of Julio Jones' physique and Antonio Brown's fundamentals. One of a kind.
