There's a slightly different version of this theme that plays during the dun tynne battle right after Regis and Detlaff join Geralt. It would be great if you could upload it :)
I can try to upload it this weekend. Since I have to start the DLC from scratch because already finished it lol. Will let you know when it's uploaded. :)
And that is why CDPR is one of the greatest gaming studios ever imo - they weren't really famous or anything prior to W3, yet they created one of the most amazing games ever created with a ton of detail put into both the base game and the DLCs!
Yes they've certainly earned their fame that's for sure. As a side note the creator of The Witcher HATES the games but screw that guy he thought the main character getting stabbed in the back with a pitchfork and everyone in the world (except possibly Ciri) being heavily implied to die in an ice age was a great way to end it.
"Something's not right." The only time in the entire game (DLC's included) where I felt frightened. Dark night, you walk into the area, and suddenly darkness grows and Geralt abruptly utters those words. And there she's standing, in front of a shack, looking at you. Of course, I already knew what she was, but it was still bone chilling to walk past her to examine the corpse on the shack. Too bad all the Bruxae and their cousins lost all their epicness in a fight when I realized you don't have to dodge her series of flurry attacks, just holding parry will do the trick. It felt awesome when she came for you and could not land a single strike.
Doubly true, that's the only moment I had whilst playing this game when a chill genuinely crept down my spine. This little spot off the side of the road had a girl quite similar to the first bruxa standing before a corpse as if in mourning. I'm curious though of what causes her to reveal herself as in my case I approached her again trying some form of interaction if I remember, wonder if drawing the sword or fleeing the area would've done that too.
Bruxa in real life witcher universe are deadly like higher vampire, most witchers always hope they dont cross against one. Same with strigga. A little mistake could means death, they are extremely fast and their nails are as sharp as blades.
@@ehrlichergobbler There is similar chanting when Dettlaff and Regis help you kill the bandits at Dun Tynne. That's what he's most likely relating it to.
The music is amazing don't get me wrong but relax on the best in history part. Witcher fans are quick to say that for everything. Doom Eternal, Bloodborne, Dark Souls and many other had amazing soundtracks as well.
First time I fought her, I remembered all the warnings from The Last Wish book and kept a good two yards away from her while we circle danced each other, when I saw her do the scream attack I immodestly rolled towards her to Aard and finish her, big mistake, she rolled out of the way and went invisible and slashed me relentlessly and knocked me down to nearly no health, so I qwen’d out of fear, she struck me from everywhere until the shield broke and I had to fight her with barely a shimmer to figure out where she was, then I realized after all this, she was playing with me, like a cat with a ball of yarn, she estimated even though I was a Witcher she could still kill me and have fun while doing it, one lucky strike from igni proved both of us wrong, easily the best fight where I felt way out of my element and no better than a scared mouse
@Chase Bond I used heavy armor with alchemy heavy atk damage build. Just keep blocking her attack until she tries to use scream attack, dodge to the side and a unleash big straight Rend on her head. She didn't even last over two hits. :-)
This is on the BaW OST and it's called "I Cannot Let You Leave." It's actually what the same bruxa says before the fight. But I don't think the rest of these are on the OST and I love them all! The soundtrack to this game is a MASTERPIECE.
It starts with "Blood run" (IIRC, there are several similar versions, like "What lies unseen"). And then indeed there is "I cannot let you leave" (which is played during Syanna's quests). Have no idea why the author united these tracks and called them "bruxa theme"...
When fighting the bruxa at the start of the game, actually had me a little scared, just you, an unknown monster and the cold atmosphere of the cellar. Cd project red really cares about the experience you as a player gets
@@mr.goldfinch3681 It WAS an unknown though. You're given no reason to think it's a Bruxa until JUST before it happens, and you haven't seen them since two games ago, so the form they'd take in a later entry in the series was a total unknown until Blood and Wine.
@@garroshhellscream594 Agreed, the story and the lore in hearts of stone were superior, at least B&W did well with giving us challenging fights and badass enemies i guess
Its weird calling her a "bruxa" and being a portuguese speaker (Brazilian) cause bruxa means witch, but there are witches already in the game, hags here are also translated as "bruxa" too, and witcher was translated as "bruxo", which means "male witch". Everything is a witch in this game XD
This makes the Turkish version that I dislike agreable. Witcher-Efsunger(Charmworker) Sorcerer-Büyücü(Magician) Bruxa-Bruxa(Well, the term means nothing to us)
Bruxa means "Witch", for those who don't speak portuguese or any other language that pronounces witch in a similar way. I dunno if they named her that by taking the portuguese word, or if it's the same in latin, and i don't care either way, just thought it was cool.
+Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy no not that one. Look up the equine phantom quest and listen to the music that plays during the horseback chase.
I was legit scared going down into the cellar knowing this thing was down there somewhere after seeing all those bodies and going through those dark corridors where you can't see the end of them because they twist so much and hearing the unnerving music.
My little cousin was watching me play ( unbeknownst to me ) and called the first bruxa the naked ugly lady after I killed it and immediately made me jump out of my skin

Goraka91 but i guess they're multiple endings. I havent beaten it yet though so shhhh. Lol 😅
always had to lower my volume fighting these.. their screams breaks my eardrums... working as intended though

They even put little screams into this to indicate you're fighting a bruxa. The Witcher 3 is so damn detailed!
