I honestly love how speed building works in this compared to the n64 version. You can actually see and hear it happening, like winding up a toy. It's waaaay more entertaining.

"There is no way to prevent the first condition from being fulfilled." Theoretically, if you're going fast enough, you can 'teleport' inside the block before it can activate it's collision. That would require a speed of 1536. Practically, of course, that's not going to happen.
Josh65536 I mean, I have a speed almost four times that in this video. The only thing that makes it impossible is Y=0 being too high I think? Very interesting to know, could maybe be useful elsewhere...
+Josh65536 With the most drained the only obstacle would be Y=0 being above the height of the brick, so you'd lose your speed with this method. But now thinking about it more, maybe it would be possible if you were actually inbounds, and were running along the ground...

its so cool how the devs thought of the red coins star! First you can only enter with Wario. You can only get Wario with Luigi (via the Power Flower in the castle, trough the mirror). This means you can only go to TSutM while having Luigi! Next Luigi can only be unlocked using Mario (there is no way for Yoshi to get in to BBH). This means you can only go to TSutM while having Mario! You dont need Mario for the 8 red coins tho, but you do need Luigi! Not for the coins but for the star. And the devs knew that! The Luigi cap only spawns if Luigi is unlocked, but thats okay since you need him to enter. I never thought about this until watching this video. I was like: "just use the invisible cap!", but that isn't here of course! Well played Nintendo! :D

This is a TAS. And beating the game with no B presses was solved a couple of years ago (Bowser in the Sky was the only major hurdle), so there'll be a 0 B presses TAS one day. 50 Stars are required and there are no strats that take a ridiculous length like some of the stuff in SM64, so I'd expect it to take a little over an hour.

For those who want to know, this is possible to do in an original nintendo ds system. It is also one of the very few glitches that does not seem to corrupt save data or the cartridge itself (though I'd suggest not taking it too far)
Running into a wall immediately stops your momentum, as well as jumping, so if you want to get to the top of the castle, you will need to be careful with the trees and the fence (edit: you can use the arrow on the touchscreen as a reference for positioning yourself as it will be left unchanged (it should look like a perfect triangle) when you're straight up the fence of the bridge) from there you can do small jumps to the right without changing your direction in order to get close to the slope.
As far as I know, there aren't any glitches in this game that corrupt save data. Even when I purposefully tried to do that by powering off while saving, I couldn't achieve anything. There is an error message when entering the file select, but all save files are there and intact.
You need to be positioned in such an angle that you don't lean left or right while you run (What I suggest is to change camera angles and go back and forth until you get it, as the turning directions in the game are too stiff to position yourself just by doing it, also 1st mode view doesn't really change your direction) Once you're in that position (While also standing a bit over the slope) you hold y and after that you hold forward. If done correctly, you will see the character bending backwards after 15-20 seconds (I'm not really sure, but it looks just like in the video). Now, you just keep holding both of the buttons (up + y) until you get the amount of speed desired and move to the left or right to get out. You can jump out of this state and reach a lot of height (seen in SkicoNow's video: Hyperspeed Running in JRB) at the cost of losing horizontal momentum, or change the camera angle to get to different places. Whether you're trying to get to the top of the castle (Which I tried, but failed) or make this same glitch (which I haven't tried yet) you need to be careful not to run into any completely vertical walls (or trees) as they will stop you and you will have to try again.
You may have been joking, but this is neither easy nor fast :P If you want to get this star and only this star from a new file then it's a bit faster, sure, but not in any kind of full run. Even from a new file it only takes about 5 minutes to unlock Wario ;)

Better than that speed building sound on SM64. It just repeats the same sound other than increasing the speed of the sound and the pitch itself
