    I think it would be helpful for beginners to realize that while you're building a 40-card deck, you don't need to let that intimidate you. Hero kits account for 15 cards already, and there are cards that are (debatably) "auto-include" in majority of decks (Endurance, Nick Fury, Helicarrier, the three Basic double resource cards, Aspect resource cards) or for certain archetypes (Quincarrier for Avengers heroes, Web of Life and Destiny for Web Warriors). Usually, you only have to worry about 10 or so cards, which is much more manageable and would mostly be Aspect or Basic cards.
    Also, "net decking" isn't a dirty word, even if to just see what other people include for a certain hero under a certain aspect.

      Thank you so much, it’s GREATLY appreciated! The game can be a lot in the beginning, but once you get over the learning curve it’s SO much fun. Organization and storage was so much fun for me, because there’s so many options and you can really make it your own.
      If you have any questions, or want to see something in particular, please let me know and I’ll make a video!

    Been playing for a year now and you really emphasize each heroes strengths and abilities and that's something I didn't do until now. I mostly just played around into what the aspects liked to do and i'd occasionally have the "ahhhh" moment with a few heroes in their well liked aspect. I will say though I never play into a heroes weaknesses and as much as I'd like to, I would prefer to just heavily push into their strong side of the kit. We do play different modes as I'm a two handed solo player so there's more room for teamwork and versatility having two players fighting the villain. Good video for the beginners, I wish I had this when I started out.

      Hey, thanks so much, it’s REALLY appreciated! Similarly, there are some heroes who don’t click with me, and that I don’t like at all, but when I play with my friends and how they use them “correctly”, I’m like “Ohhhh THAT’S how you’re supposed to use them” haha. I do think two handed, just like you said, allows for heroes to really shine with what they’re good at, and for the other hero to be able to fill in any weaknesses.

    I started play this game this week and I'm loving it !
    I think that Massion is good even if you don't get 4 turn to "pay for it". The fact that you play with one more card every turn make your turn stronger ( for exemplo, you can go to pay one 3 cost card and one 2 cost card in a start hand of six). And comparing with helicarrier, you get the same advantage by discarding the extra card to pay the cost, but with Massion, you have more option because you can choose witch card you will discart.
    My English is a work in progresse so, sorry if I couldn't explain properly.

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  Рік тому

      You’re English is great, I totally understood you!
      You’re definitely not wrong, and I think it all comes down to preferred play style. If I add Mansion and don’t draw it early, I usually am not in a spot where I feel comfortable playing it, as I’d rather damage or thwart. I don’t think you’re wrong at all, for me I’d rather play two events in a turn over playing that. This is all for true solo though, because I’ve seen Mansion be AWESOME when I play with my friends, and I totally agree it’s 100% worth it there.

    Glad this video doing well brother. Enjoyed our conversations as well. Keep up the amazing work. Thinking of trying some true solo vs Klaw for a while.
    Also loved the video brother. I agree with a lot of your points. Even if you play 2 handed solos, you still need to make sure each weakness is covered and also make sure you understand the villain as well. This is such an amazing game. Hopefully, every rookie will enjoy it as much as I and the community do.

      Yeah, thank for asking for the video! I really enjoyed thinking about it during the week and putting it together. I have the Spider-Ham Spider friends and black widow videos both coming up within the week for you to see. Funny, I almost didn’t get the Ham deck to work, but it came out right at the very end.
      Our conversations actually have given my an idea for a new video series. I don’t know what to call it yet, so let’s just say, “community spotlight”. Basically I just interview people for 5-10 minutes about the game. I need to think of some questions, but if I decide to do that, was going to see if you wanted to be the first person. Just something rolling around in my head.

Ran a capt america/protection and black panther/leadership deck that worked the exact same way. Only until the end, did black Panther come alive. Liked them in those aspects, they worked better against klaw

Let me sit on it this week, get the list of questions set, and then I'll send them to you to think about, and we can set up a time to do an interview.

    We have very different play styles my friend because I tend to deck out AT LEAST once a game and sometimes more than once lol. I really like to take my time and build out, and I really REALLY like card draw effects 😆
    Are you more of a rush type player? I hadn’t gotten that impression from the plays I’ve watched so far
    Edit: and great video!

      I love seeing all the different play styles, it’s awesome.
      Yeah I tend to never deck out, unless I’m playing with my friends. Before I started making videos I used to rush a lot, but even in my videos I THINK the games are usually over by Turn 6 on average?
      I wouldn’t say I’m a rush player, but I do think I favor attacking over building out. Like, if I don’t get my 3+ cost support/upgrades out by turn 3, 90% of the time I won’t play them.

    Great video. Just started playing a couple months ago with the core set. After Klaw with Masters of Evil, I started evaluating how each character gets beat. Mostly threat, so I leaned into justice and finally true soloed past him, not easily. I am still really new to deck building and this has solidified some of my thought processes and given me new ideas. Have a good day.

      Hey thanks, much appreciated! I don't think you're wrong about Klaw, I actually do think he's pretty tough. However, I realized it's Masters of Evil that really makes him hard, but you're totally right about Justice. I really find Justice and Protection the best way to win solo. Glad I was able to help and thanks again!

    Great content. Just bought the game and am struggling with rhino....tried spiderman, captain marvel and black panther. Would you recommend building a deck starting off? Or just using the suggested decks that they recommend with the core set?

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  2 роки тому

      I don’t think I’d make a new deck completely, but maybe switch the aspects. If I remember, I think Spidey started with protection? Maybe try him with Justice. If you’re playing only one hero, i would stay away from Aggression for the time being, it can be difficult when learning.
      Also, how are you losing? Health or main scheme? He actually can be swingy. I’d almost recommend trying Klaw with the Bomb Scare modular. He is less swingy.

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  2 роки тому

      Oh, one more thing maybe? It’s POSSIBLE there’s something you missed that’s making the game harder. I see that on Reddit a lot. Why don’t you check out my “How to Play” video. I use the Pre Con Spidey Deck Vs Rhino. Maybe that can help?

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  2 роки тому

      @@seededhate That makes sense. It takes a few games to get the “rhythm” of the fight. Someone on Reddit said, “your health is a resource, it doesn’t always need to be full”. That helped me a lot. Bring out Allies, attack, or thwart with them, and when they have 1 health left, have them block all the damage for you. Don’t be afraid to flip and heal, but make sure the threat is at at Max 2. Last tip for Rhino, be ready when you flip his first form. As in, make sure you can flip him AND take care of the 3 threat the side scheme has. It’ll make it much easier. Sorry for rambling.

    Just started collecting this game. Any tips for Iron Man? Thanks

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  Рік тому +1

      Yeah! Welcome to the game! So, iron man is a VERY slow start. You NEED to prioritize getting his upgrades out as soon as you can. His upgrades increase your hand size in hero form. Once you get his upgrades out, he’s VERY strong. You just need to be patient, control the threat, and get those upgrades out. Maybe try to get out an ally that can block or thwart for you while you’re trying to build up.

  • @Saugerdees

    Regarding 40 or 50 cards decks and the point that less cards means you pull the cards you actually want. Is it not possible to find 50 cards that one would actually want?

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  Рік тому +1

      It’s more amount finding what the hero is good at and increasing your odds at getting exactly what you want. And I’d make the argument that the 15 hero kit cards are better than any aspect cards. So increasing to 50 limits you from getting those too.
      If you’re finding success with 50 than go for it! I do think every deck I see on marvel cdb, the overwhelming majority is 40 cards.

    So if I make a deck that is true solo, will it be good for multi player?

    • @marvelchampionsxp
      @marvelchampionsxp  Рік тому

      That’s a great questions. I only started playing multiplayer over the past few months, and the answer is, sort of? So, yes it WILL be viable in multiplayer, but it won’t be AS good. Since you’re trying to cover everything by yourself, I noticed that when playin multiplayer you really want to focus on something specific. So, do you want to be the person that focuses on attacking or thwarting.
