208 is no-brainer. Makes Ford and VW so dull and lazy. If you sit properly you will see 3D dials. On standard cars with truck size steering wheel, view is also compromised if you don't sit as you should. Proper seating position is must for safety, there is no personal preference there, I like this, I like that ....

In France the Fiesta have a VERY BAD interior like all other country. Only in Uk the fiesta is perfect and magic because British is biased and Fiesta is built in UK. British are not fair, its them Dna.

Well, the fiesta did lose its one spot in the sales chart in the UK because the 208’s sister, the Corsa, is now the best selling car there. And in continental Europe, the 208 is now the best selling car, beating not just the Clio, but also the decades-long sales-charts-king, the Golf.
OMG, are people going to stop talking bad about the wheel in I-cockpit!?! I would never even look the other brand until they accept this system, it's that good. Just setup the driving position and everything works perfectly. If you want to lay down like driving in formula 1, buy a Ferrari.

Mine is the 208 GT. Automatic. . it’s gorgeous in Far Yellow Small steering wheel. No problem with it but like said has its blind spots makes you take more care. As a previous. 6. Times over these Peugeot. Cars can’t get much better. As a 85. Year drive. Love it to bits

You forgotten to mention the wireless charger behind the iPhone stand you highlighted & the yellow is stunning! The automatic is my choice as it one of the smoothest there is in this segment!
I have a Fiesta MK 7.5 ST and it’s interior is a fantastic design, if cheap. The new MK8 Fiesta instrument binnacle design is crap by comparison and reminds me of Fiestas from 20 years ago! This 208 utterly shames it!
negative points do not sound so ... bad - I remember the same issue with my Range Rover Evoque - it was never an issue for me, but at the time, the press was crying about the lake of visibility of the back of the car ... what I never understood : it was big enough to make me see cars coming in the back, and when I was reversing the gear, let say, for parking, I was using the camera ... so ... ? It is pity they do not focus more on the EV version of it, because for the coming years, I think it's not very 'wise' to use a version that is not EV or at least an hybrid - because this car will be clearly a success for people living in cities - and they are more an more restriction for 'regular' cars.
For looks Nissan's Micra is the best looking small car in the world at the moment. The styling is wonderful and complex surfacing is beyond reproach. 😌

Car mags sell advertising not cars. Like knitting magazines sell adverts not wool. 2.8/5 is over half so the ads will still be bought, more pretty pics, everyone's a winner.
Auto trader absolutely love VW, the polo and the fiesta are benchmarks according to AT. The polo with its uninspiring looks and bland interior is referred to as 'refined' and 'classy'. Definitely paid off by certain manufacturers. The Nissan Quashqai has a high rating but if you look on forums, only around 1 or 2 people out of 5 are happy with the car and don't have reliability issues.

I can't understand why somebody would put the fully adjustable steering wheel in a position where he can't see the dials just because that's his favourite position for a wheel.. Madness and of course dangerous.

Shame no new GTI on the horizon as got old 208 GTIjust right and took on the Ford fiesta st and Renault sport Brilliantly,ford and Renault will be rubbing there hands together no more competition from Peugeot.
Some trims of the first generation 208 also had badges on the C-pillar. I would find it unlikely that anything below GT trim would have this, so it's really not a big change from its predecessor in anything other than style. The shape of the C-pillar is certainly more reminiscent of the 205 though. There's a wireless charging point in that centre console cubby that I've seen two reviewers miss out so far (but you did, to be fair, point out that this comes as standard with the Allure trim, which is lower down the range, in your written article). You do talk up the interior as a really nice place to be with excellent fit and finish... but then say it's hardly luxurious. Do Peugeot need to launch another XY trim to up the ante a bit more? What makes the competition (i.e. the Audi A1) more luxurious, as it were? Finally, I dislike hearing WLTP for fuel consumption and NEDC for emissions. The car industry is hugely guilty of this and it's very misleading. 84g/km would equate to about 105g/km on WLTP. It's just worth mentioning that emissions will be a proportion higher than published figures.

Remember that 207 was the best selling car for a year or two in Europe beating even a Golf. Anything is possible. So.....the HEATING system touchscreen is NOT the best in the world ( your words) BUT it does LOOK pretty cool !!!!!!!!! This 208 have a best interior quality than ALL others supermini when we look thr Fiesta is the worst. Fiesta interior is cheap and very ugly for the same price/technology than 208.
Now now, Alex and jerry... 1) The Audi A1 and presumably DS 3 should still have better interiors, 2) the three-finger press takes you back to the main menu, not the climate control, and 3) this is a Peugeot, not a Citroen - they may share most parts and features, but like Skoda/Seat/VW/Audi, there are enough differences to set them aside.

Now now, Alex and jerry... 1) The Audi A1 and presumably DS 3 should still have better interiors, 2) the three-finger press takes you back to the main menu, not the climate control, and 3) this is a Peugeot, not a Citroen - they may share most parts and features, but like Skoda/Seat/VW/Audi, there are enough differences to set them aside.
