Zoe - A Living Sea Sculpture is a mineral accretion coral restoration project in Cozumel, Mexico. Here you can watch the DNA-inspired memorial sculpture transform from bare welded steel to a growing biodiverse marine ecosystem. Created as a coral refuge in a region of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef damaged by hurricanes and human activities, it is an effort to regenerate dying corals and inspire hope, caring, and action. It is part of an UNESCO endorsed Ocean Decade of Science and Sustainable Development project, Cozumel Coral Conservatory.
