Saw him opening for a Small Black concert at a very small venue like this, had a press pass and was right up front but had no clue about Bayonne. I was totally blown away - like everyone said, you could watch him “feeling” the music, and it was just wild to see live. Especially the drums. Waves was awesome, but I don’t think he can ever beat Omar. In hindsight, as good as Small Black was, discovering Bayonne was the highlight of the evening for sure.

well... can you blame them? Roger is an 'experience'. I can't really describe it. I danced by tush off when I saw him but for the most part, its almost like a trance and you become so hypnotized by his "channeling". becoming transfixed is quite normal.
When I saw him live it was similar, I think people were just totally surprised and mesmerized- he opened for another band and none of us knew who he was or how intense it was going to be. By the end of the songs our jaws were just on the floor - I think we all sorta collectively had a moment of respect for his intensity and feel for the music. There was definitely applause but everyone was still taking it in if that makes sense. I got home at like 130AM and bought the whole album in bed haha.
Rare to see someone that loves their music the way he does...every beat....every sound...every melody...he feels!
