Which FENDER will you buy next?
I’m partial to the Strat mainly because I inherited my late brother’s first guitar which was an 83’ Tokai Strat and it always reminds me of him when I play it. ❤️ 🎸 But you gotta love that unmistakable twang of the Tele. You can’t go wrong with either. Both great guitars. 👍🏼
I have both. My Strat is a '91 MIM that I put a new neck on and have swapped out pickups and wiring harness on, which currently are both Benson Custom. A set of '63 pups and a standard Strat-style harness (used to be a 7-way). It now has an Allparts neck because that was cheaper than a refret on the original neck (I still have that). My Telecasters is a partscaster with an Allparts neck, USA Fender body, and a set of Bootstrap Extra Crispy pickups, made in Ohio. Both are amazing guitars, but the Tele is definitely more versatile.
I own several of each but I play my Tele more because now I do mostly jazz and pop and nothing beats the tele neck pickup for thst style of music. I can get pretty close with the strat. I have a wide choice of instruments so I have many to choose from.
I had a 2005 Standard Strat, black with maple board, like yours, had to sell it due to hard times, loved that guitar. Now I have a Mexican Classic Series Strat which is great, a couple of old Squier Strats, also great, a Gibson Les Paul and several acoustics, which I play mainly, but never had a Tele, and I don’t know why, because I love the history, looks and sounds of them, always wanted one but never owned one!
I first 🎸 is an 🇺🇸 strat and I just bought a Tease SBH-HD Series guitar a tele with a humbucker in the bridge....both are different and I ❤them both. Tease costs $250 and it's awesome for the price ‼️👍
My first Fender many years ago was a Tele, which I never bonded with (I really wanted to be a Tele guy). Getting my first Strat was a revelation, I quickly ditched the Tele…the feel, sound and versatility of the Strat was far more to my liking. Airier and more forgiving attack, more of a blank canvas…the Tele always has that strong twang whether you want it or not. I also prefer Jazzmasters over Teles for other reasons. I do have a few Teles nowadays, but they don’t get picked up very often…only really when I need to scratch that itch or fill a particular roll. No right or wrong though, everyone has their preference.
I have a Fender American Ultra Luxe Strat and Fender American Ultra Tele. I like the Tele much more. I agree with you. It is much more versatile. I can literally make it sound like any of my other guitars. I only use the neck pickup on the Strat, because I don't like tinny sound of the other positions, so for me, it's a one trick pony.
I think its finding the right tele, it just seems easier toi bond to strats. The only tele I have ever connected with was a nash relic'd tele. I am searching for a tele
Strat or S style is home base for me. The blend of position 4 Strat and bridge tele really compliment each other in the mix here so great job with the playing and mixing. I’ve historically struggled with finding a good tele tone so I’ll always prefer Strats but I’m really digging my G&L ASAT Tribute. Hopefully you guys can review some of the G&L guitars and give a comparison against Fenders
I identify as a Strat guy !! Got an American HSS Deluxe , Korean Lite Ash , Japanese 1996 ( 50th Anniversary) 62 reissue , Silver Sky SE and an 84 Ibanez Roadstar ( the other Back To The Future Guitar ) Love them all and at the end of the year last year bought a Squier 50s CV Tele which needed a new nut and the neck pickup is a dog , contacted Fender as I’d bought it direct from them . They paid for local store to replace the nut but wouldn’t accept the neck pickup was a dud “ What do you expect for a £300 Squier ? “ Bridge pickup is fine but can’t get with the neck one , it has to go !!
I'm a Fender guy BUT I lost interest because of the corporate mindset. I looking at a G&L FULLERTON ASAT CLASSIC, Ibanez ASZ prestige and now Tease Guitars....more guitar for your money.
I'm a lifelong Strat guy, who currently owns more Tele's than strats. But I have to say. My Tele's ALL sound better than this one. Especially my MIM Jimmy Page Dragon Tele. ( Not selling anything. I promise)
For 30 years i did not even touch a Tele. I thought this guitar is extremley ugly, especially in butterscotch. 2024 I touched a sunburst Nashville Mexico. The best guitar i ever had. It sounds more vivid and wooden than the ES 335, the American Strat and a few Ibanez. I did the wrong thing for 30 years. 🫣

No need to argue. Have one of each! 😃

Tele all day (especially with the 4-Way Switch that gives you the Neck and Bridge in Series)

Still a Telecaster guy, even after this video. But I do enjoy my Strat on occasion.

Fender Stratocaster HSS. 🎸👍
BOTH... Tele is a great rock guitar, if you want it to be... a strat if you want fat funk, jazzy tones..,

I would like to love a Tele but just can't bond with them. I love strats, but teles I can't stand them. Love to overdriven bridge sound though!

Right now, I have a both a (Super)Strat and a Tele. And I strongly believe that, for the time being, I won't need another guitar.
Love the Tele twang.

Got to have a couple of both right?🤭
I truly appreciate how much effort all these video are, easy subscribe great content from a beginner guitarist learning
I'm a Fender guy BUT I lost interest because of the corporate mindset. I looking at a G&L FULLERTON ASAT CLASSIC, Ibanez ASZ prestige and now Tease Guitars....more guitar for your money.
Like the new format
Strat is my fav. 2nd is Les Paul. Tele is most versatile, but when I play one I always want it to be a Strat or LP.
The answer is Tele. lol. Strats sound too thin for me. Obviously others disagree (which is totally cool… you do you, Strat guys!).
I want a cheap decent responsible prize strat 😊
I'm a lifelong Strat guy, who currently owns more Tele's than strats. But I have to say. My Tele's ALL sound better than this one. Especially my MIM Jimmy Page Dragon Tele. ( Not selling anything. I promise)
