You do it in the BIOS setup. Every motherboard brand is slightly different, but is always explained in the motherboard manual if you can't figure it out by looking around in the BIOS setup.
@@GlennBerrySQL can i ask that while im using a single stick of 8gbs or ram it recieves the bus speed of 2400mhz but when i attached one more of 2666mhz it ended up showing only 2133mhz.
I checked and updated bios version but i still cant find the xmp setting. is there a way to set it back to 2400 manually because its obvious that it ran at 2400 before...
@@GlennBerrySQL im so thankful if u can read my comment
@@danielphan731 If you have an OEM PC (prebuilt by a large vendor like Dell or HP) there may not be any XMP setting exposed in the BIOS.
If you buy a second stick of RAM with the exact specifications for speed and latency as the one stick that came with the machine, it will probably run at the same speed as the original stick.
@@danielphan731 I have replied to your comment.
I feel like after installing drivers on my ryzen 5 3600x it got slower and performance dropped is there a specific reason or are the drivers not legit cuz i got them on a dvd that came in the box with my custom build.
What drivers did you install? I'm assuming this is the CD or DVD that came with your motherboard? What motherboard do you have?
It is always better to get the latest drivers for your motherboard from the support site for your motherboard rather than using what is on the CD or DVD that came with your motherboard.
Thanks bro
Thanks for the comment!
