just ordered the sampler diy kit! very excited to build and hopefully if I don't goof up and fry it, I'll get to mess around with and get lost. great demo video! I think the looping delay will be following soon.
@@McEnroe911lol I thought the same thing at first but if that’s the justification it is liscence to buy anything and everything and my guess is Alley isn’t looking to go bankrupt 😎
@jurgendabeedin441 I actually don’t use samplers all that often. I do tend to use Simplr in Ableton when I create a sound that I’d like to play polyphonically. I also have an SK1 and Yamaha VSS 200 which I use in the same way, but for more lofi reasons. As for actually chopping samples and making beats.. I’d say it’s one of the weakest skills in my music production. I’m too impatient to search for good samples and chop them up lol!
Gear List as far as I could identify: Teenage Engineering - EP-133 K.O.II Unknown Skiff w/ Power module? ALM - Pamela's Workout Make Noise - Maths 4 ms - Sampler 4 ms - Looping Delay Instruo Carn - Utility Mixer Shackmat Dual Dagger - Stereo Spectrum Slasher Mutable Instruments - Braids ALM Busy Circuits - MFX - Stereo Multi Effects Processor Happy Nerding - FX AID - Effects Module Arturia - Keystep 37 Teenage Engineering - OP-1 Buying all this gear new where possible will set you back about $5000 or so (quick estimate)
I think some corrections are in order here. PSU module is the Behringer CP1A, the Shakmat module is the Stereo Dual Filter and the Mutable Instruments one is Beads.

lovely jams in this one - great job!
Oh yes; Great stuff as always Ali. Yet another module you made me want to buy!!! 😮 😉
Some wonderful textures from 15’40” on. Excellent!
Thanks! I really didn’t expect the sampler to be such an ominous drone machine 😃
Cool stuff!
Dude that’s genius! The delay retrigger thing
can you record with CV/Gate trigger? or you have to push the button?

Love this man. nice beats.
Cheers man!!
Very cool! Seems pretty similar to Morphagene. Which is one of my favorite modules.
I used to have a Morphagene years ago and sold it. Now I really miss it but can’t justify buying another one lol
@@TheUnperson I'll help you justify it... you have a UA-cam channel about modular. What more justification do you need? 😎
@@TheUnperson well now you have this, so looks like you’re covered! Beads has a lot of the functionality of Morphagene as well, so double covered! 😎

@@planetplex Yes, im giving him carte blanche to buy all the modules.
I’m going to have to look up how to transpose with my Keystep. The Sampler on the other hand has been on my wishlist for months…
Just make sure the record button is unlit and it will transpose your sequences by pressing a key :)
Sounds excellent. It seems like it could occupy a little less rack space though?! 😊
Perhaps yea ~ tho it is quite luxurious to have so much space 😆
Do you have a favourite sampler (if at all), or don't you find them that useful for the sounds you like creating?

@@TheUnperson What function does the Teenage Engineering - EP-133 K.O.II perform? I see it in all of your videos.
@The_Invisible_Hand_Of_CV I use it mainly as a drum machine
jam @ 11 minutes 🏅
Thanks! ☺️
