And it stinks when it gets older too...DAMN...😂
I forgot how great he was at cutting a promo
How tf did you forget the best part? 😂😂
The “I’m still here because you didn’t do your job” is one of my favourite quotes from a promo
That whole promo was great. Its actually amazing to see how much better Reigns has gotten in his promo work.
@@jgkight1yeah by having heyman cut his promos😂
@@Cfj99-fq9tcexactly, Reigns is shit at promos
"Act like this is an AA meeting and shut your mouth while I'm sharing with the group."

Even Orton couldn't handle it
Nah John slayed with that “notes on my wrist line” because Dwayne genuinely got pissed 😂
Coz unlike 95% of the promos where both parties know the japs that will be thrown, Rock had no idea Cena would throw that haymaker out of nowhere!
I forgot about Cena being wrestling's Eminem.
@@Thesaurcery4U2C Nah, wrestling's Vanilla Ice. Eminem is way better in comparison.
@@tombase-rd6xg emm Cena is one of the best mic-talkers in WWE history. his Dr. Thuganomics gimmick sky-rocketed his career. and remember, he did all his promos by himself. even he wrote 2 his songs and performed them. no need to dis Cena , calling him Vanilla Ice
@@tombase-rd6xgclownest take, acting like john aint a legend like em
Joe’s promos on Jeff hit deeper because of how much he cares about Hardy, behind the character its concern for Jeff’s health
Joe remembers that TNA 2011 PPV

Paul Hayman is one of the greatest people on a mic ever. In stand up, politics, interviews, and wrestling. He delivers every time.
💯
Heyman was the first guy, and there is a very long story about this, but he literally said “how about I give guys a mic and let them say whatever they want”.
He started by making Mic Foley a straight star with his shoots. But it was also aligned with ECW. Like they would shoot outside the arena and just talk about the show.
And don’t forget about Raven. If you don’t know why he was so goo, watch his promos from the beginning.
Stand up? Since when does he do comedy?😂
He delivers every time - except the money he owes people.
One of the reasons CM Punk got so popular is because of the Pipebomb promo. He was spitting straight up facts at the time. I also love the “ shoot “ promos blurring the lines between real and in the ring
Agreed. The significant factor that made those Pipebomb promos notable was that they were not one-sided. They all went both ways. You & I love the facts that he was throwing and those being thrown on him. You’re right about that.
And there is the problem, how many wrestlers are allowed to do that. I would argue 90% of them would be fired if they did it. So he did NOT get over, he was ALLOWED to get over.
Actually HHH taking over was the best thing to happen for Wrestling.
@@WillMuny exactly. From what we all recall, Punk was one of the chosen ones/golden boys of Vince. Vince wanted Punk to become on ECW what Cena was on Raw & Batista was on Smackdown, going out of his way to push him as the face of the Ruthless Aggression Era alongside those 2 aforementioned wrestlers. Finally, someone who has a good memory & sense.
Nah hes always been popular imo
Joe's promos against Hardy and Styles was just too amazing let's be honest. The man deserved a bigger push on Smackdown and on Raw. He should've won the Universal Title from Brock in 2017 and the WWE Title from Styles in 2018
I couldn’t agree with you more. the fact that the company never really pulled the trigger with Joe is just a travesty to me. The fact that Jinder Mahal became WWE Champion and Joe never did is just something I can never wrap my head around.
True. Samoa Joe had it all and WWE fumbled it
@@mycahjofficialtrue also they gave him the US Title but that didn't go well either
@@lostexodusyeah and his injury prone didn't help either though
@@mycahjofficial Jinder Mahal was only champion because of business reasons at the time.
Jim Cornette sounds like a Southpark character. That Hogan promo was brutal
It was! Damn!!
Jimbo!
My favorite moments in wrestling in any promotion is when there are moments that make you go "wait, this IS part of the show, right...?" Those moments are always great when done right
Cena with the tropic thunder reference against Miz
I peeped that one
I was really hoping I wasn't the only one to catch that.
Even though I wasn’t born around that time,Shawn and Bret’s rivalry was the realest fued in wrestling history, watching old videos of them I would always think a fight would break out at any second
They did end up having a back stage fight, although everyone describes it as more of a hair pulling match lol.
Bret has said that him and Shawn were friends for a long time and that their rivalry was something they both were creating together. They wanted their rivalry to feel so real that even the boys in the locker thought it was real. Eventually the lines became so blurred that it became real. This is the definition of being worked into a shoot.
“I don’t think it was a girly magazine. I think it was a gay magazine” That KILLED ME 😂😂
Cornette letting loose on a mic was always a treat. I'll never forget on Dark Side of the Ring his "I will live to piss on (Vince Russo's) grave" monologue.

Awesome video man.
One of the best lines not mentioned in this video from a CM Punk Promo, “This isn’t CM Punk talking to Triple H, this is Phil Brookes talking to Paul Lavesque!” The way he dropped that was COLD! 🥶
How was that cold? HHH'S real name was out there long before Punk was relevant.
@nero48 HHH did shoots and wrote books out of character and revealed his name long before this.
This soft culture things anything is cold nowadays.
@@Speedyreedy1218 Because he was breaking the 4th wall on live television to tell his boss he had some problems with him. Dumbass.

"And it stinks when it gets old too"...Little Jimmy is the best.
« Hey, Hey, Hey, Hey do me a favor why don’t you act like it’s a aa meeting and shut your mouth while I sharing with the group » Samoa Joe roast Hardy so hard than Randy Orton broke character
Im not apart of The Cult Of Cornette, but the man just can't lose on the mic.
The line about Hogan being garbage and that it stinks when it gets old was killer!
Terry Funk slapping Paul Heyman 😂
kinda legendary
Paul heymans shoot promo on vince mcmahon is still absolute gold
Agreed ECW was doing all the risque stuff before the attitude era went mainstream.
One of the best promos was Eddie Guerrero’s promo against Brock Lesnar about his drug addiction, rehab, trying to make his wife and kids proud etc. You could tell there was real emotion behind it. Surprised it wasn’t on this list.
You could just see that HHH was one millimeter away from saying “fuck this, I’m going to prison” and assaulting Punk during some of those promos. DX knew a thing or two about throwing shade, but Punk works in insults the way Gianlorenzo Bernini worked in marble.
More proof that Paul is a professional 100% and (much like Vince) will allow people to get over on him if it's best for business.
In ways he's actually better than Vince cause McMahon was still butthurt regarding Punk and didn't want for him to come back, where as Trips knew it was best for business and was willing to set aside his personal feelings/ego for it.
That being said, that s**t he said to Chris Masters (you can see the clip in this vid but can't hear the audio, thank goodness) was way over the line and super dickish.
@@jamesb1988 what did he say?
@ImInLoveWithBulla Chris is backstage with Triple H and Shawn Michaels and mentions wanting to write a book about nutrition. Triple H scoffs and says "What are you gonna call it? How to lose 50 lbs in 4 weeks?" This being right after Chris had returned from suspension/rehab and was noticbly smaller from getting off the gas. It would be like a former heroin addict being told that their book should be called 'How to hide the ugly scars on your arms'.
One for me would be the promo Randy Orton did on Jeff Hardy back in like 2018 or something. He talked about not wearing different colors just to steal the fans money(Cena), then talked about not waving his hands in the air like some idiot and not jumping off of ladders(Hardy), and lastly i think he talked about not coming around once every year for WrestleMania just to have a match(Taker, Lesnar, Rock etc.) honestly my fav promo of all time.
CM Punk is basically a human version of the DARE program...makes all of us want to do drugs after his promos
Holy shit 😂😭
Dare I say that Cena is just a littel bit better at promos like that than Punk. The mugshot comment from Cena was absolutely vicious. LMFAO
Punk can talk, make no mistake. But John is so quick on the draw that he can spin a whole promo from thin air
@@toast7580I got Cena, Punk, and Rock as the top 3 on the mic strictly. They all are pretty savage on the stick
Cena just straight up buries dudes
@@toast7580 Also helps that John can literally say whatever he wants with no repercussions (unless he's talking about Taiwan ofc)
Ex: him bringing up the crowd noise thing with Austin Theory
John DESTROYED Roman Reigns. "I am still here coz you can't do your job". Just crazy obliteration
The late great Brian Pillman cyberslam 96 and mick foley cane Dewey ecw. Greatest promos to me
The thing with Punk's promos against Vince and the "authority" about firing people because he doesn't know what makes a superstar in 2011, that made HHH dislike him so much, is that now HHH is actually on the other side of it, seeing superstars that he brought through, get unceremoniously fired by Vince in 2019 during COVID and then again in 2021 while HHH was recovering from a heart attack, he probably now understands where Punk was coming from all those years ago.
The rock says things that make people laugh at you. John cena would say things that made you second hand embarrassed for whoever he destroyed
I liked the rock during the attitude era but he keeps coming back for himself, not because he cares about the fans, pick a career man you can't give 100% to everything. I'd love to know where some of the footage from this came from.
I remember several years back I'll quote him on saying the rock is never going away again following a ppv event. 2 nights later he was gone... Again.
I forgot how scathing some of John cenas promos were good lord 💀😂
Cena destroying Big Dog Roman actually made me feel bad for Reigns, like damn if John Cena is talking shit about Cena 2.0 then I dont think that man will ever recover from this. Absolutely nasty work lmao
The Rock's promo on Billy Gunn.. Now tell me that promo didn't cut deep..
@@MrAwEsOmE145770 John Cena is a great promo but he ain't seeing CM Punk.. CM Punk is ruthless on that mic..
Its kind of scary and sad how accurate Joe's promo is towards Jeff
The Miz was 100% correct about Daniel Bryan, it just took awhile for his words to take effect.
the full miz promo was so good
I would have loved to see the 'This is Phil Brooks talking to Paul Levesque' on that CM spot.
Same
I also wish he added the promo where John said to Roman that Roman ran Dean out of the company 😂😅
"Who's your daddy, Montreal?!"- Shawn Michaels, 2005. Amazing.
Nobody got as real as Bret Hart when he knocked the headset off of Vince's head live on TV years before Evil Vince character
Just discovered this channel today, don't know why it showed up in my recommendations, but thank god it did,it hits different from all the other wrestling channels
Just like the Montreal Screw Job, I'm always fascinated that hardcore wrestling fans like myself still believe the pipe bomb was a shoot. It was perfect, but still a work. Which, in a way, is still why I love professional wrestling.
Montreal screw job was a bit different since Bret didn’t know and the roster didn’t know anything but everyone in creative knew . What happen with punk was everyone knew what was going on. but you are right stuff like this make wrestling incredible because we can deny facts and the truth to enjoy a show with large than life characters that make you want root with or against them
@@mkplayz9596 I used to think that as well, but I have seen it enough times now, and "Beyond the Mat", and countless shoot interviews, I'm pretty sure the whole damn thing was orchestrated.
The Montreal screw job was not a work the only wrestler close to blurring them lines at the moment is mjf
The pipe bomb was green lit by the company but every word was still meant
@@hashi3630 I agree, and I think that's when pro wrestling is at its best. When you mix in the truth, you blur the lines between a work and a shoot, that's when wrestling is really interesting.
Punk is legendary for saying things off the cuff and honest.
Hes also infamous for not being able to take when people do the same to him.
So fragile he gets his best friend sued, refuses to pay his legal fees then paints him as the bad guy. Without Colt Cabana post WWE CM Punk would have been silenced.
MJFs rant was straight gold
Bret Hart's rant on Shawn Michaels is straight platinum!!
Cornette spits fire 🔥

I love how angry Kevin Nash and thinks he's the hardest man to exist in wrestling. We all know he's full of shit and never really open handed smacked Joe twice without Joe doing something
The actual story from multiple sources is that Joe came up to Nash still pissed off, and Nash basically told him to f off and pie faced him and Joe backed down. Obviously had he retaliated, Joe’s job and future could have been on the line being much lower on the wrestling totem pole
Being a Bouncer irl probably helps with that Ego trip.
I heard he did
we forgot how good was the Jeff Jarrett's shoot to Vince McMahon.
Cm punk reminds me of that one roommate who doesn't help with the bills and makes excuses to not help.
And gets mad when he gets kicked out After a long time
Most overrated wrestler in history. Can’t believe most wrestling fans worshipped the ground he walked on 2011-13

Jim cornette was a savage 💀💀💀
I love when the promos is realistic because it brings more excitement to wrestling.😭🤣
Dang, didn't realize how savage John was 😢 he was spitting fax! That's how you can tell how dedicated he was for wwe, no matter if the fans loved or hated him.
Stone cold with hair is a crazy site.
Honestly, I was also waiting for that time Elias was in Seattle... I could feel the heat 🔥 from the crowd through my TV!
Thanks for the upload this thing is full of gold
Thank you always for another great video :D
Only Jim Cornette can look like a preacher then yells at a fast food employee for taking too long on his double dinner order.
Jim Cornett is hilarious.
As I’ve gotten older, what still fascinates me about wrestling is the play between what is real and what is scripted.
Work vs shoot.
Fascinating.
Sad part is Cena is right on everything he said and especially about the Miz. I don’t even like Cena but he’s definitely spot on in all those promos
He was definitely right about the miz. Especially if u go back and watch what he was doing on the real world
whats your problem with cena even now in the year 2024 get over your hatred of him pal like really grow up !
@@simenzelwedlaminiYou're the one who needs to grow up pal. The same way the modern generation hates hulk hogan, some people can dislike cena too, maybe they just havent been in the moments to become a fan of his or dont really like his promo work
@@attasyed6855 hey pal they can't get over of hulk hogan saying a racial slur thats people problem the cena hate right now in 2024 is beyond pathetic so my comment is justified and in his prime he was that good is juts people taking things pathetically for granted then you look back and say oh he was that good so you were blindly hating him clown so I dont need growing up to do clown you the one that needs it !

Joe’s promos on Jeff I still rewatch today.
Finally ,
Watching your video after a very long time ,
You have Finally added video clips into your UA-cam videos ,
Thats good , keep it up .
The photos video were boring without video clips .
Awesome video, I'm currently subscribed to your channel and are my no 1 pick for Wrestling history, since you did what made Vince the most evil heel in wwe and wrestling history, I have a video request for you, could you do what made triple h the most evil heel Wrestler in wwe history considering vince is the most evil heel in wrestling period where as triple h is probably the most evil heel Wrestler in wwe in general?,
I still feel that Jarrett's was the best and straightest shoot of them all.
this is an amazing compilation
6:16 did Masters just invent the dab?
My god the cornette shoots are absolutely hilarious hahaha
Jim’s comment on hulk hogan being a household name made me say god DAM!😂 caught my ass off guard. Cena was ruthelesssss
Broo, omfg...94-00 you just had to be there to experience the WWF! Alot of this was on sunday night heat and Raw, smackdown wasnt even thought of when cornette went off. I wish i was old enough to experience Austin in ECW. Im surprised you found that clip of Austin.
Love this channel! Please can you do a video about the greatest female wrestlers.
We never talk about how ridiculous Cena selling in the ring for the entire pipe bomb promo was 😂
Jim can verbally tear you a new one fr, dang he had some bangers
7:26 gets me every time lmaooo hhh is savage
I mean Nash patting himself on the back for slapping Joe twice is laughable considering one slap in retaliation from Joe would've tore both his quads🙄...
Did Joe slap back
He is full of shit no way in hell would a Samoan let you slap them once let alone twice and not retaliate
You're underestimating Nash
Those Seth promos against Punk were so bad that HE was being booed despite doing the "i love this company and will fight for it!!" style of promo.
Jim Cornette is the best, and for me Scott Steiner number 1 in promos too funny
Amazing video
that jim guy's promos are gold omg 😂
I love 💕 this video, this is a straight up history lesson and I love 💕 it
It's funny when Cena talked smack about the Rock and then Cena turned into the Rock
Randy’s reaction to Joe’s comment about the AA meeting always gets me 😂
Shane Douglas's ECW promo was more like a coordinated effort where Eastern Championship Wrestling wanted to tell the NWA that they were standing apart on their own terms and used Shane's victory as the biggest possible platform to convey the message when all the necessary eyes would be on ECW. It's like...a shoot worked shoot, if that makes any sense.
I can see Rock and HHH doing a great job in creative writing together. Both guys spent a tremendous amount of time crafting good story telling and match making during the attitude era and Hollywood respectively. I don’t see their ideas differing that drastically from each other. There will be compromises but that’s a given when we talk about a multi billion dollar operation.
just look at Angles face in that openning scene sets the narrative of the video
How did you know i was in the magazine, you had to flip to a couple pages 😂😂😂😂.

WCW really Fumbled the biggest bag in wrestling history in Stone Cold Steve Austin
They also fumbled foley, HHH and taker too…..WCW just didn’t know how to make stars. They knew how to hire stars that WWE made
I don't believe for 1 second Kevin Nash open hand smacked Joe once let alone twice
Should’ve had the mizz promo that he had with Enzo for sure
