Why they would ever have a shoot fight with a preplanned outcome is beyond me
That Bart Gunn affair was ridiculous. Why put the guy you wanna push to the moon in a legit boxing tournament against a guy who actually knows how to box? To say that Bart got treated unfairly is an understatement. He did absolutely nothing wrong and got punished for it.
People like to say the montreal screwjob gave way to the attitude era, but really it was the curtain call. I guess in actuality it was probably a little bit of both. What a great era that was. I remember flipping back and forth between raw and nitro and smackdown and thunder. Im glad i was a kid during it.
I'll never forget the Nexus fallout. The internet exploded in support of DB. The downfall of WWE. It was such a good angle and Vince shit on it b/c of PC nonsense and Benoit's CTE
*Edit
Saying "Vince shit on it" was a poor choice of words. Too soon.
The ftr things still pisses me off to this day. Possibly the best tag team of the decade and in modern pro wrestling, buried for such a bullshit reason.
"Certainly the most over-rated tag team in the history of pro wrestling..."
There, fixed it for you.
@@-Benedict sure buddy.
17:30 what a stupit reason for punishment if they make real fight they should accept that loss why they punish that guy thats so stupit and silly
Bro they did Bart Gunn so dirty. All they had to do was say "Make Dr Death look like gold and we're in the money" but they ruined that poor guy for doing a good job.
@@AlmostCoolGuys exactly i mean whole segment about real fight they should accept that lose that year, or they should write different opponent in first place
@@sametkucuk7305 just dirty business. Cold and dirty
@@AlmostCoolGuys sad but true bro
Gail said "I ain't got time for this"
Most of these are just examples of petty bullshit. Especially Bart Gunn, imagine getting punished for fulfilling the "purpose," and I do use that term loosely; of an already batshit insane idea. Like how are you upset with someone for winning a "shoot" fight? If they wanted to push Dr. Death, they should've just booked him to ACTUALLY WRESTLE instead. In the aftermath, 2 careers died because of the Brawl for all and Vince Russo is to blame for it, because it was his stupid ass idea in the first place.
The Nexus debut was so amazing, they really fked that up afterwards.
Im glad "Title Shot" is allowed to be said now.
Why nobody ever going to detail about the night Joey Styles got into it with Jerry The King Lawler and had his segment on the entrance way before he quit
That wasn’t scripted
@prettylaurynn I know I want hear what was going on backstage when he said what he said
Most of these were the cause of Vince having stupid rules or a bad temper.
In defence of Titus even if he did work Wrestlemania that year he would have jobbed anyway 🤷🏿♂️
Also him and batista are really BFFs aren’t they. How many photos were there of them?
You would have thought they were a couple lol. 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
WWE needs to move away from the PG ERA This would improve the show
Dusty's move was actually good, added animosity, sorry Steph! But Bart Gunn, man that was unnecessary!!
Expecting Dr. Death to win a real tournament with multiple fights against large athletic opponents simply because hes a "legitimate tough guy" and did some wrestling shows how truly out of touch the WWE is with real martial arts. They have no clue what a real fight is. Look at the size of his opponents even an untrained guy whos that big could land a lucky punch and KO someone cold. Especially when his opponent is also untrained
If only Tony Khan had the balls to punish Hangman Page for attempting to bury CM Punk
I’m so happy Vince is gone he really had everything banned for no reason smh such an asshole
Dusty Rhoades for the win! He's the American Dream. Now and always
Dusty “getting heat” for that was so ridiculous and disrespectful.
He’s one of the greatest legends in wrestling history, he can do whatever the fuck he wants.
Complete kayfabe will forever be stupid to me (I think it’s also a part of why wwe was so trash during the changing of ownership as well until triple H decided to loosen up the rule)
Uhhh winning a legit boxing match isn't going off the script because there was none lol
Vinces downfall is his EGO...
I thank him for the universe he created but GOD hates PRIDe and hes full of it
vince getting mad at mickey when he is a prev just doesn’t sit right
How dare y’all show the Brawl for All without showing JBL get legitimately knocked out by Bart Gunn!!! How dare y’all rob us of that joy!!! 😂😂😂
Why is "title shot" so bad to say?
Karma took Shawn Michaels eyes
Only in the WWE could the have an idea for a legit, unscripted tournament and then see it as a massive problem that it doesn't go the way they scripted it.
Jesus I wonder what happens if you accidentally spill milk in the cafeteria, what a bunch of nit pickers
Titus O'Neil was just been a gentleman that's all,, he got punished for doing absolutely nothing wrong,
I think what Titus did was uncalled for, Vince may have always been known as the biggest asshole in WWE, but I can understand why he didn’t appreciate being grabbed by Titus in front of thousands of people, especially right after Daniel Bryan’s retirement speech, whether it was meant playfully or not. That said, I still believe the punishment Titus received was excessive.. a simple man to man talk backstage would have been enough.
