I like this type of TBR! This year I'm keeping separate fiction and nonfiction consideration lists. Your choices all look really interesting. My favorite nonfiction book so far this year was Black AF History.

I definitely agree about the monthly TBR's - too much pressure, lol. These all sounded very interesting and I have added them to my never-ending storygraph TBR 😅Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them eventually 😊

So kind, thank you! Although I think the camera may have some filter it automatically applies, so there’s that :)

I meant to get to that one when it was released in the US and forgot 😅. I think my favorite nonfiction books I’ve read are ones that I felt were essential to me for understanding my morals and history. All the old second wave feminists texts, not because they were all perfect, but understanding the foundation for modern women’s liberation before it could become the long time coming intersectionality and why women wanted a revolution and what feminism is beyond its pop culture depictions has been monumental for me. Bell Hooks though? Picking up un feminist thought and expanding it into a map for freedom for all?! I’d recommend her entire catalog.
I like to know why books speak to people. What makes your pick your essential nonfiction from what you’ve read so far(if it’s okay to ask, book nerd in me loves knowing what/why people connect heavily to what they do)?

I think I can be interested in most non-fiction topics. Can be history, psychology, science/health, ethics/philosophy. Learning is learning! But I often look for ones that I’ve heard are quite readable. If it’s too dry, it won’t hold my attention.
