I love your excitement of seeing the aurora borealis and am excited right along with you! Incredibly cool! Seeing the lights is on my bucket list and I can't wait! Thanks for your video.
Hi Sarah! Thanks a million for watching and for your kind words! The Northern Lights really are special and I get so happy when they dance! :D Hope you get to witness the Magic too one day! Cheers! :)
We live in mid west Ohio near Dayton. Shortly after we moved out in the boonies, we saw the northern lights, green and magenta mostly. Totally awesome!! Sometime in the late '90's.
It's my dream to see Northern light through my own eyes, you would not believe, but I came up with the concept of Northern lights in my childhood without even knowing that it actually exists. I used to draw a land where clouds were made of lights, something like northern light
haha......... that laugh at 4:49 is priceless! Are you excited or pleased much......lol. I get that excited too. Thanx for sharing your awesome experience! All the best to you!
Was this in September 2017? During that month I was on Lofoten and the lights were also very active. The number of days with high kp values were the most in that particular month in the last 5 years or so. 2 weeks ago I saw a similar intensity on the Island of Senja again. Never fails to amaze!
Hi Tom, I am glad you could experience this amazing light show of our Mother Earth 🌎, your excitement filled my eyes with tears, this is one of my Big Dreams too, hopefully soon, I wish you more unforgettable moments like this mate 🤜🤛 Thx for shared moment, i am pleased.

If I saw the northern lights, I would not only cry, but also start dancing slowly (as if I was holding hands with Lady Aurora)… 🕺 (around 3 times slower as your dance at 3:28)

Very few have taken live footage or photos of the aurora from a boat. As an aurora fan and aurora photographer, I have captured many real time vids and photos but only based on land. Did you take the vids hand held, tripod or using a gimble? Was the boat moving or stationary at the time of your amazing aurora vids? If it was hand held, what settings did you use? I know the settings for land based but a moving boat is very different I am told. I would appreciate your input. I follow you on Twitter :-) I want to make sure I can get as clear vids and photos as possible and need some valued advice.

Wow, They are excellent quality vids for hand held and in rough seas. My hat off to you. That is an achievement in itself. Well done. The Sony A7Sii ISO ranges from 100-102400, expandable to 50-409600 and the Nikon D7500 100 through 51,200. The lenses for my Sony are F1.4, F1.8, F2.8 and 4+ ( I am a huge fan of my Samyang Sony lenses which produce the most amazing quality night sky, meteor, comet and aurora photos/vids. The Sony 70-210 is a good all-rounder). The Nikon lenses are mainly 1.4 and f2.8. I was going to take my tripod and a gimble but hand held is good for me too.
